The subsidy removal is a game changer for Nigeria economy
It has helped to create some stability and increase in revenue

Federal state and local govt now smile to the bank on a monthly basis to enjoy the largesse

However, what’s the fate of the ordinary Nigerian
Nigerians are used to free things
Infact, we can call Nigeria free town

Suddenly, fuel subsidy electricity and others are gone

Asiwaju has made the money available but the governors at the grassroots are not helping the situation
What’ are they doing to cushion the effect of subsidy
Ministers are redundant

I just discovered that the ministry of finance has made available a facility for you to buy a house and pay in 10yrs @ single digit interest rate
Ministry of women affairs are currently engaging youth in an empowerment program where they pay 60k monthly as transport allowance until graduation
These and many more happening in this govt

But majority of the people are not informed

Everybody hate Tinubu because of subsidy
Governors are happy the president is taking the bullet

If these people are not ready to water the ground like the president suggested
Make transport available for the people to move around

I feel like the President should reverse the subsidy

Fix Corruption And Inefficiency Before Considering Subsidy — Amadi

Fiscal buoyancy has not translated to ease for the people. Tinubu removed the subsidy, saying it was bad, while Atiku says he will bring it back. The previous subsidy was corrupt. Peter Obi’s approach is to first address corruption and inefficiency, then see how that translates and assess the need for subsidy. I agree with Obi’s approach of making the sectors work better and ensuring efficient pricing first.
