I can’t speak for everyone, but the argument isn’t that Josh Allen has the best raw numbers, the appropriate voted-on awards, or the most team accolades. He does not.

It’s the belief that no player in the NFL today has outperformed their situation at a higher level than Allen has.

TD totals of 39 and 41, with his leading TD recipients being Dalton Kincaid and Mack Hollins (5 apiece—c’mon).

Nobody else in the NFL has come anywhere close to that, and it’s difficult to imagine anyone else having the ability to do so.

So, if Allen is a 40-TD-per-season player with Kincaid and Hollins, what would he be with prime Travis Kelce or Ja’Marr Chase? With Puka Nacua and Davante Adams?

What would he be with Andy Reid or Sean McVay?

I don’t know that he’d put up the 52 that prime Mahomes did in 2018—but I also can’t imagine Mahomes, or anyone in the league today, putting up 41 with Mack Hollins.
