As I step into this new year, I’m grateful for every story shared, every voice amplified, and every community conversation I’ve had the honor to shape and support.
Here’s to another year of meaningful storytelling, bold advocacy, and collective impact.

Today in Lamu, Inuka Kenya Ni Sisi! together with local civic actors, is convening a county forum to strengthen grassroots civic infrastructure. Together, we reflect, learn & build strategies for reclaiming civic space.
1️⃣ Why are we here?
To contextualize threats to civic space in Lamu & the coastal region, and to foster a shared understanding among civic actors.
2️⃣ Our focus: Deepening participants’ grasp of social movements and their role in reclaiming civic space, both locally and nationally.
3️⃣ Practical skills matter.
We’re equipping participants with tools for power mapping, narrative framing, digital organizing & active non-violent action.
4️⃣ Beyond training.
This is about solidarity. We aim to build collaboration among civic actors to form a sustainable, issue-driven Lamu Chapter of the Ni Sisi Movement here in Lamu. #NiSisiLamu

The Constitution of Kenya 2010 promised equality, dignity and protection for all.GBV is a direct attack on these rights. On this #KatibaAt15 we call for full enforcement of our constitutional protections.Let’s honor the constitution by ending GBV

The media is more than a storyteller, it is a change-maker.
Through responsible reporting, awareness campaigns, and amplifying survivor voices, the media can challenge harmful norms and promote zero tolerance for GBV.

Survivors often carry invisible wounds: nightmares, panic attacks, fear of trusting again.
These scars can last for years, unless we listen, support, and stand with them.
Ending GBV means healing minds as well as bodies.

Kenya is at a crossroads.
Tomorrow, the Environment & Land Court will rule on the appeal to reinstate the Lamu coal plant license🏭.
A ruling for coal would betray our communities, coast, and climate.
We say: Reject coal. Protect our future ✊🏾
