@PoliticalStacy Corporate subsidies and inefficient defence spending basically throw our money away. You're right. We need to be talking about what's being done with the money. Most welfare programs bring gdp growth. Education, labor, and healthcare matter. We still need to fund certain things.

@puckrin Also because news outlets and high public profile politicians constantly point to good things that Americans want, and call it socialism or communism even when it isn't. They are advertising it.

@ChadWheeler777 @brew56200 @theobjectivist People are not coffee. You're absolutely right that an employer has no incentive to pay anything if people are willing to work for free. That puts workers in a bad place because we like to give people incentive to work by holding things like healthcare and shelter as negotiation.
