@tapanwaval@plantarina Well I see the PM, the President, the CJI to start with and countless IAS. If these are not positions of power and privilege, then which ones are ?
Talking of percentage, do enroll in the army to represent your true population.
@tapanwaval@plantarina Oh all the poor Dalits having generations with government jobs, schemes, much lower cutoffs in all competitive exams !!!
There certainly is too much discrimination. The moment one gets a category certificate, life becomes easier.
@dr_srikantnalla Government healthcare costs a fraction of that in private sector. Even free at places. Feel free to use those services. No one is handing out invitations for private healthcare.
Moreover, don’t crib about costly private healthcare. Luxury comes at a cost.
My UG (MBBS) fees was 4.60 lac PA (total 4.5 years) and PG (MD) was 15 lacs PA (total3 years). Haven’t done my DM yet.
I haven’t come across a woke trying to fund me for my education for a cheaper, more approachable healthcare.
P.s. : I took both the seats on merit (GC).
Oh my God! There is an interventional gastroenterologist.
Had met a Gastro recently, had come to know that he is an Endoscopist. Was afraid that he would recommend endoscopy (burping is my problem!) Sure enough he did. Cost: Rs.30,000.
Went to a medical centre and got it done for Rs.6600.

The Gastro (Endoscopist) was good. He was the only one who gave me a lists of 15 items to avoid - starting with Coffee, Milk, Chocolate, Mint (if I remember correctly).
Had green tea this morning. (Wondering whether my stupid insistence on continuing 1 measly cup of coffee has led to my downfall.)
@leftyindian Sir I expressed my concern about people asking for “cheper consultations”.
Also, talking of money, I’m pretty sure good engineers/CAs/Lawyers are doing way better than doctors in their late 20s or early 30s without expectations of charity.

@aproudempath @summerfiresart @FlirtingKaapi It is a temporary measure because of covid. A lot of candidates could not write PLAB 1 & 2 because of flight and visa issues, GMC received a lot of backlash. OET and IELTS scores are still valid just for 2 years.
@HaryaxPathak Apparently they do let candidates follow their beliefs including hijab and such but not rings. Seen it first hand.
P.s. I was not allowed to bring a handkerchief to wipe my face.
