When are we going to move on from the outdated premise ‘emotions=BAD and SCARY’? My heart goes out to every boy and man stuffing away their emotions out of fear that they will not fit the elusive ‘unemotional masculinity’ model. There are better ways to manage.
I’m sorry Kenny Shiels, but women are not “more emotional” than men and maybe men could learn from how most women manage their emotions. Ironically, his comments are probably an emotional response of a coach.

When I teach people to code, I see a lot more people struggling with problem-solving than the code itself.
The ability to break a problem into smaller ones and then solve all of those smaller problems takes a lot of practice.
Enterprise UX design is an entirely different game than designing a website with ten pages. I might not be the best visual designer, but I can think systems. This might be my superpower as a designer 🦹 What's yours?
The frontier for design isn't in organizations that are great for designers right now. The important work is in organizations that have a long way to go.
If you want to make a difference and you have choices go to where design is most needed, not where it's safest.
