@CoachDanGo Nah - why you gotta hate — green tea has its fans - I’m one — and coffee has its fan. Let’s agree that both beverages are far better than all the other liquid calories that people consume.
After nearly 50 years, I am no longer a reader of the @wapo You cancelled the sports section and no more coverage of the @Capitals. The cancellation of international coverage and other decisions also contributed.
We just raised $300M in Series C!
Helicopters and small planes are vastly less safe than large commercial aircraft. @Skyryse is bringing the safety of commercial aviation and the simplicity of driving an EV to the world of general aviation and military aviation.
Several months ago, I joined the advisory board of Skyryse because I was super impressed by the management team and the scale of its mission.
We set out to raise $150M Series C. Today, we announced the closing of an oversubscribed and upsized round of over $300M at $1.15B valuation, with a cap table that I'm very proud of. I can't wait to see Skyryse's 21st-century tech transform the aviation industry.

We had the pleasure of meeting @SenTedBuddNC and his team to discuss how SkyOS™, our operating system for flight, can help reduce pilot workload and improve safety across both helicopters and airplanes.
Sen. Budd is an active pilot, and his enthusiasm for practical, pilot-centered safety innovation was clear throughout the conversation. We also discussed future applications for vertical-lift and fixed-wing fleets, including the Black Hawk, and how modern, certifiable software can support safer, more resilient operations in all of aviation.
91 days. One swipe.
History made.
We’re proud to announce that we have successfully achieved the first-ever automated pickup, hover, and setdown of a Black Hawk, powered by SkyOS™, the world’s first operating system for flight. While in flight, we executed precision flight maneuvers using SkyOS’ single control stick, and witnessed SkyOS’ maturity on its very first flight, on a new platform.
Black Hawk with SkyOS is built for the modern era, featuring advanced automation and simplified flight controls to offer increased visibility, inherent stability, enhanced safety and mission effectiveness. Whether the mission calls for a flight that is uncrewed, single-piloted, dual-piloted, or non-pilot operated from a ground station, Black Hawk with SkyOS is capable of adapting across all mission profiles.
For us, seeing the Black Hawk fly with SkyOS in 91 days represents the culmination of a decade of work… and the beginning of something much bigger.

Today marks an important moment in aviation history. @USDOT Secretary @SeanDuffyWI, Deputy Assistant Secretary Dan Edwards and @FAANews Deputy Administrator @FAA_Chris have unveiled the United States’ first Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) National Strategy and Comprehensive Plan.
Our Founder and CEO @MarkGroden was in attendance to unveil the national strategy, and we’re proud that our technology, SkyOS™, the world’s first operating system for flight, was featured in the plan’s Automation pillar.
This first-of-its-kind national strategy signals meaningful progress toward a more efficient, accessible, and forward-looking aviation ecosystem. We’re encouraged to see validation and support for technologies and systems that will define the next era of flight.

As part of our path to certification, we’ve been collaborating closely with the FAA and are proud to share that we recently hosted FAA Deputy Administrator @FAA_Chris onsite to see Skyryse One™ and our Black Hawk with SkyOS™.
The Deputy Administrator and the entire @FAANews team, conveyed their commitment and support of our mission at Skyryse.
We are grateful for their support and looking forward to completing SkyOS certification to bring a new level of safety to flying as we work to reduce general aviation accidents and fatalities.
Take a peek into what it’s like to fly with Skylar™, our AI flight assistant integrated into SkyOS™.
From listening to and interpreting ATC, to tracking aircraft in crowded airspace, to monitoring weather and optimizing routes, Skylar acts as a true assistant in the cockpit.
Deterministic expert AI systems – like SkyOS – are designed for predictability and consistency, generating the same output for the same input, every single time. As a LLM layered on top of SkyOS, Skylar leverages AI as an orchestrator of trusted data and systems, improving reliability, safety, and empowering pilot decision-making.
As it’s deployed across diverse missions, including military, emergency medical services, and civilian operations, Skylar continually learns and improves, refining its capabilities with every flight.

SkyOS™ is officially coming to fully autonomous airplanes.
We’ve just signed a new partnership with @DynamicAviation focused on providing uncrewed, attritable aircraft for U.S. military special operations.
“Technology is reshaping the battlefield, and with SkyOS integration into attritable airplanes, we can radically expand operational reach and kinetic effects in previously denied areas,” said Warren Curry, VP at Skyryse.
“That reach changes everything. With an aircraft-agnostic design, SkyOS provides the military with a cost-effective, mission-ready system that enhances operational flexibility – unlocking force amplification. Our technology delivers a strategic advantage in contested environments, leveraging standoff capabilities to keep friendly forces safe from long-range threats.”

Meet the brains of SkyOS™.
Our triply redundant flight control computers (FCC) are engineered to 10⁻⁹ aviation safety standards, meeting the FAA’s most rigorous reliability requirements and validating years of engineering, testing, and collaboration with regulators. Engineered and built-in house, our FCC’s are core to FAA-design-approved, universal operating system for flight, SkyOS.
And because SkyOS is designed to be universally compatible, our FAA design approval marks a milestone that endures across all aircraft.

Hardware 🤝 Software 🤝 Pilot
Our flight testing process includes our Systems Integration Lab (SIL) simulator where we perform hardware-in-loop testing in a simulation flight environment.
Located inside our Labs & Manufacturing facility in El Segundo, our SIL simulator brings our engineering and systems testing teams alongside our test pilots to collaborate and accelerate our testing cadence to get to the tarmac safely and efficiently.
Thank you to our hometown Congressman @RepTedLieu for visiting Skyryse.
Congressman Lieu is an Air Force veteran and leader in AI issues on Capitol Hill. It was an honor to showcase how our SkyOS technology is powered by Deterministic AI, and spotlight the progress we’re making on SkyOS configuration on the Black Hawk, enhancing pilot safety within the military.
Skyryse, headquartered in El Segundo, created the first fully digitized operating system to make helicopters and general aviation planes safer. That’s me in a Blackhawk.
The system is so advanced that you can learn to fly a civilian helicopter in 15 minutes. You read that right.
The @FAANews' MOSAIC final ruling is here – and it’s changing everything.
The new MOSAIC rule recognizes simplified flight controls – like SkyOS™ – as a path to safer, faster, and more intuitive flying. Under MOSAIC, aircraft using SVO like SkyOS can require just 20 hours of pilot training – a 50% reduction.
Skyryse applauds the FAA’s MOSAIC rule and the leadership of U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary @SecDuffy, FAA Administrator @FAA_Bryan and Deputy Administrator @FAA_Chris for their support in reducing the regulatory burden for the general aviation community.
