Because it was so cool ❄️ I made a youtube video about our #geophysics research at @egripcamp on the #Greenland ice sheet this year. I hope it gives a glimpse into some of the incredible science going on there. https://t.co/0dnLooemA1 @MqEPS@nissenjo@siljeglacialis
Not sure if anyone is still on here - but if any Antarctic folks have had success with Starlink in Antarctica can you please let me know? In particular, did you use the maritime system? Thanks!
Looking for a postdoc for a really exciting position: Antarctic field work (🤞) this 23/24 summer, collecting MT data and then using it to understand and model ice loss. 2 years, Hobart-based, working with me, @dataforwisdom and the @AntarcticSciAus team. DM/email questions! ❄️🧊
ACEAS are currently recruiting for Research Associate Magnetotelluric Geophysics. This exciting opportunity will use field and computer-based approaches applied to geophysical data with a focus on magnetotelluric methods.

@ProfMattEngland@DeformedEarth This is such a brilliant idea. Is it only in Sydney at the moment? I have good hairdresser contacts in Adelaide and Perth, let me know if there's anything I can do to help support it.
If your weekend was ruined because you were sad you missed the @AESC2023 abstract deadline, you'll be happy to know it's been extended to March 14! Now you can ruin your weekend writing your abstract instead 😁 https://t.co/wSAE3itOhs
Today is the deadline for Australian Earth Sciences Convention (AESC) abstracts! Maximum abstract length is 500 words so there's definitely time to bash one out before the end of the day. The conference is in Perth, June 27-30. https://t.co/wSAE3itOhs
@k_langin @IceSheetMike @ScienceMagazine So glad this is being raised. My team all had huge struggles PQing last year, mostly because the countries we were in report blood test results slightly differently than the US. Emails from UTMB were often rude and requirements unclear. Caused so much stress and cost thousands.
Got some nice research on the Australian lithosphere? Submit it to a session in our Australian Lithosphere theme at the #AESC - the place to be for all things Oz lithosphere, its imaging, composition and evolution. Abstracts close March 1 (next week)! https://t.co/dkVn7WwF85
@MarloWordyBird I often had similar problems in the US and decided it was most likely the flour. Flour holds quite different water contents depending on humidity. The protein contents of 'all purpose' flours can also differ by country. On the plus side, my white sauce never went lumpy in the US!
@thecraigoneill@DorritJacob@GeophysicsWebb Changes certainly afoot but no imminent expectations of majors lost as I understand. Of course as we well know things can change quickly 🙃
