@hrsparrow4 I really liked watching him teach in his own classroom. My table discussed how procedural due process could be in this video. When the teachers met to talk about what they can do to help these children better succeed, maybe the parents were also involved. #EDUC200#03Sp22
@oliviajfitz I really liked our discussion about this. It was really interesting to relate Bloomโs Taxonomy to my time in public school. Teacherโs used this in class and I never realized it. #EDUC200#03Sp22
Today in class we talked about bias, and how the first Thanksgiving is being taught in schools. My table group talked about how this could be considered unreality bias. The first Thanksgiving is being taught as only a positive and happy time, but in reality it was not. #EDUC200
@LC_GOLF03 Hi Iโm an elementary ed major at JMU! I love this lesson, it keeps learning fun and positive. Hopefully one day Iโll be able to do something similar in my classroom. #EDUC200#03Sp22
One of the things we learned today in class was value with curriculum. As teachers we will have to pick and choose which knowledge is most valuable due to our limited class time. #EDUC200#03Sp22
@AmberJa48698670 I found our discussion very interesting considering I had never heard of the term redlining before. With redlining people arenโt given the money and help they need to improve their lives which goes along with the quote you used. #EDUC200#03Sp22
@lauraewassmer I really enjoyed learning about the differences between equality and equity. Each person is different and requires different resources to succeed. Recognizing these different needs as future teachers will be important in making sure every student succeeds. #EDUC200#03Sp22
@katewilsonn30 I really liked this activity, because I feel that this is really important in becoming a good teacher. These traits can really make a child feel comfortable and important in a classroom. #EDUC200#03Sp22
In class today we discussed the article we read for homework. Many students are not able to grow up with the opportunities we had, and they are not being provided with an education that meets their literacy needs. I now understand how important it is that we fight for them as
Today in class we talked about financing and governing schools. Here we looked at school divisions with high poverty schools in Virginia. The darker the red the higher percentage of high poverty. #EDUC200#03Sp22
@AmberJa48698670 I agree this provides great structure and clarity. This also could help later with impact. With set rules to help with listening, kids can better focus on their learning. #EDUC200#03Sp22
I found a great article that applies the use of google norms. Roxbury Day Care Center has a sense of meaning by providing quality childcare to all families in a loving and educational environment. #EDUC200#03Sp22
