The continued existence of nuclear weapons is one of the biggest threats to humanity. There are currently more than 13,000 of these weapons in the world, many on high alert status, ready to be launched at a moment’s notice.
People in the flood affected areas of #Pakistan are in desperate need of relief, shelter repairs,food,water, medicines and livelihoods.
@ifrc's emergency appeal will help the Pakistan Red Crescent assist over 320,000people to recover from these devastating floods.

- @ifrc is bringing in more relief items from our Kuala Lumpur warehouse today to support #PakistanFlood affected communities. We are already providing food and shelter items on the ground, and now other relief items are coming in.
Thousands of families in Pakistan are left to daily tend to their makeshift beds and shelters beside flood waters that are still occupying what was once their lands.
Once the waters recede, or if it ever does, the rebuild will be long and arduous.
