Another great day at the @qccrn ASM. Though the only photo I took was of my glass of wine with lunch! It did help to support my growth and learning about the Delphi consensus method, an interesting and interactive research forum! What a Friday! @maheshramanan@Lauren_sciccr
A family stopped me in the corridor as I was leaving
Asked to speak to me for a minute…
Asked me if I was racially stereotyping and undervaluing their mother
I’ve never been asked THAT question before…

Today I reviewed the proof of a paper about ICU diaries and delirium, written by T. Deffner, German ICU psychologist & myself, incl how to write for/to delirious pts and why diaries can help in coping with delirium.
Will be published in Crit Care Nurs Clin N Am soon.
Stay tuned!
#icurehab crew - what are some of the best apps and ways you've used iPads for ICU patients to support rehabilitation (beyond communication) during #COVID19? e.g. cognitive stimulation, exercises, social connectedness, emotional support etc.
@KatrinaCook_ gives an excellent presentation on the value of post intensive care clinics @worldcongressic#WCIC2019. A surprising lack of data in this space.
Caboolture team represents! 2 nurses presenting & 6 staff attending (you missed out on the C photo @maheshramanan ) not bad for a 4bed ICU @Doc_Yogi#WCIC2019#melbourne
Interesting collaboration today on introducing care bundles, how to implement & engage the entire multidisc team. Even the negative nancies! Thoughts twitter? 🤔
