"88% of the experts the Electoral Reform Committee heard (invited and vetted by all parties) and 87% of the public who testified were for proportional representation."
Remember this stat when anyone tries to tell you there's "no consensus". https://t.co/owKZL3VEpc
It is mind boggling that a single family ruled a resource rich country with a population of 2.4 million for 56 years and did not aspire to create a new Singapore or better with each citizen comfortably a millionaire with a high standard of living! Instead >1/3 are poor. #Gabon

This year we’re celebrating Canada Day a bit early. Today we commemorate 156 years of Canada’s confederation.
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Happy Canada Day 2023,
With Love from Canada.
I'm furious. . . . CNN is anti-American.
In less than an hour, they allowed an authoritarian wannabe to lie constantly while an audience full of his followers applauded. This was not a town hall, it was a rally.
Donald bragged about overturning Roe v. Wade.
He claimed—unchallenged—that Democrats allow babies to be murdered after they’re born.
He bragged about his intention to pardon convicted insurrectionists.
He advocated for the United States to default on its debt which would destroy the world economy.
And he showed, once again, why a jury of his peers found him liable for sexual assault and defamation.
But Donald Trump cannot destroy our country by himself. That requires allies. He already has the Republican party in his pocket. And now, he has CNN on his side.
E. Jean Carroll’s victory yesterday was a boon to the rule of law.
Tonight's CNN fiasco was a tragedy for American democracy.

Open Letter to @JimWatsonOttawa & old City Council who meet on Wed Nov 9, w/ agenda that includes a 4 tower proposal on Petrie Island flood plain. This would be a legacy-size mistake. Better solutions exist.
