🔟 years on from that day in Bordeaux 😍
Wales beat Slovakia 2-1 in their Euro 2016 opener and began a summer to remember.

"Imagine if we score" (said so many Wales fans).
After the most spine-tingling anthem, Gareth Bale did just that 10 minutes into Wales' first game at a major tournament for 58 years. It had to be him.
📷Remarkable from @Ffototawe Chris Reynolds:
His B&W photo from 1991 shows a young Rhun ap Iorwerth (expand to see on right), facing police, protesting outside the old Welsh Office building in Cardiff - exactly the spot where he stood yesterday as First Minister leading Plaid Cymru’s first ever government
Just spoken to Chris - he was a student at Aberystwyth at the time who had been documenting protests like these.
This event was part of the campaign for a Property Act by Cymdeithas yr Iaith (the Welsh Language Society) @Cymdeithas
The banner on the steps reads: ‘Nid Yw Cymru Ar Werth’- ‘Wales is Not For Sale’
Is that another Plaid leader-to-be - Leanne Wood - in the background?
Rhun Ap Iorwerth answering questions last Saturday on the steps of the Senedd when an impromptu rendition of the national anthem broke out. I’ve gathered all the camera angles I can find and edited together the “directors cut”

@DeansOfCardiff@JoStevensLabour and other Welsh Labour MPs threw Eluned Morgan under the bus. She gave EM nothing to show for having the so-called "partnership of power on both sides of the M4".
Steven's hatred of the Senedd and any distinct Welsh nationality is a big reason they're finished.
@LlwyfMorgannwg It’s probably through familiarity but I agree. Not all countries are as blessed: Guinea-Bissau looks like they really should be making an appointment with their GP.
