Happy to join the Kaneff family at the Ignat Kaneff Foundation made donations to local charities. Iggy's legacy continues to shine brightly in Peel Region.
Because of community support, lives are being transformed.
When Dr. Brandon Sheffield and oncologist Dr. Marco Iafolla treated patient Dr. Zak Kidy, they faced a cancer that had resisted every conventional treatment. But thanks to advanced molecular testing developed right here at Osler, everything changed.
The test revealed a rare genetic marker—one that made Dr. Kidy a candidate for an immunotherapy not typically used in prostate cancer. Within weeks, his cancer had all but vanished .
This is the future of cancer care: personalized, precise, and powered by compassion—and it’s happening right here at William Osler Health System.

This anniversary will also be marked with the unveiling of a new Terry Fox memorial at Terry Fox Stadium in Chinguacousy Park on October 10, during Culture Days in Brampton.

The CAA Centre was electric as Team Tanev laced up against Team Matthews in front of a sold-out crowd at our #HockeyNightBrampton 2025. Together, we raised $6,670,000 with a historic $50,000,000 pledge from the Cortellucci Family in support of @OslerFoundation and bringing #Brampton’s second hospital closer to completion.
From hockey greats and NHL stars to passionate fans, your energy made this night a true game-changer for health care in our city.

A great night at Hockey Night in Brampton!
It was amazing to see so many come out in support of @OslerFoundation & the important work underway to build Brampton’s 2nd hospital.
Thank you Mayor @patrickbrownont, Brampton City Council & everyone who helped make this event possible!
Thank you to MPP @BramptonGraham for hosting another fantastic BBQ. This wonderful event brings the whole community together in a meaningful way. Our Osler team was proud to join local leaders to share updates with the community with great food and conversation.
On July 6th, Osler’s Public Safety Team came together to honour their dear friend and colleague, Karminder “Kipp” Ghai, with their fourth annual 24 km memorial walk. Joined by staff, family, and friends, the route passed all three Osler hospitals—celebrating the lasting impact Kipp had on our community.
This year, the Kipp Walk for Osler raised over $16,500 to support the construction of Brampton Civic Hospital’s third Cardiac Catheterization Lab, bringing the total raised since the first walk to more than $62,000. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and donated in Kipp’s memory.
