🚨 "We want adequate compensation for our land."
In Kakuto, near the border, residents reveal how EACOP offered lowball rates, ignored crop values & sued those who refused.
TotalEnergies' "fair process" is corporate bullying.

Stop saying “the planet is dying.”
It’s not.
It’s being deliberately destroyed by corporations and executives who choose short-term profit over life.
This isn’t a natural crisis.
It’s a greed crisis with names and addresses.

Food waste is a symptom of an inefficient food system, and reducing it can help create a more sustainable one. — José Graziano da Silva #ClimateAction#ZeroFoodWaste
17 months. No prosecution witness has testified.
The KCB11, arrested after going to KCB Uganda to deliver a letter opposing EACOP financing, face another court hearing today.
We agree with @ClimateRight. The charges need to be dropped. #StopEACOP

We don't have a "climate problem". We have a greed problem. The planet isn't dying, it's being killed. And those killing it have names and boardrooms. #ClimateJustice#StopEcocide
In a world where you can be anything, be kind to nature.
From climate change to disasters, our planet is under pressure, yet nature holds the key to resilience and life itself.
Be part of the solution and take action: https://t.co/UEGYHhuu6X
Climate, inequality & international cooperation are inseparable.
People living along #EACOP's path are the first to bear the environmental and economic costs of decisions made far from their communities. #UNGA

El Niño is a natural climate phenomenon.
But Africa is entering an increasingly dangerous era where natural variability meets a human-heated planet.
A stronger El Niño can intensify drought, heat, floods and food insecurity across parts of Africa, while climate change raises the baseline temperature from which these extremes occur.
For millions of Africans, this is not an abstract climate debate. It is;
~Crops failing.
~Pastoralists losing livestock.
~Water sources shrinking.
~Food prices rising.
~Children facing malnutrition.
~Communities being pushed deeper into poverty.
And the cruel irony?
Africa contributes relatively little to historical global emissions, yet remains among the continents most exposed to climate impacts.
El Niño may be natural.
But the vulnerability is not.
It is shaped by poverty, weak infrastructure, conflict, inequality, poor land management and decades of underinvestment in adaptation.
Africa cannot afford to simply respond to each climate shock.
We must build resilience before the next one arrives.

Tackling the climate crisis requires action from governments and businesses at scale, but individual action matters too.
The way people travel, eat or use energy can help cut emissions and contribute to wider change.
Every fraction of a degree avoided matters. See how you can help: https://t.co/IfnDH4Ta1o

For decades, mangrove forests were considered one of the fastest-disappearing ecosystems.
But a new study offers one of the most encouraging conservation stories yet: global mangrove losses have slowed while gains have increased.
Here’s a glimmer of hope: https://t.co/LD3g0RlQG3
