@cursed_cabinet@goodfoodgal I’ve not seen a single one. Every single example has been either AI slop or taken dramatically out of context. Can you enlighten me?
@EL_EH_OH@TheatreSpoonie@BurnedOutValley No, she is being perfectly clear. Now trans men will be forced to use the female toilets and any man wanting to cause harm will simply say “I’m a trans man”. No wig or dress needed. You just made your spaces a lot less safe.
@sharrond62 I shall call the police every time I see a woman in the men’s toilets too. Gigs, theatres, nightclubs, bars, I’ve seen it happen in all of them.
@WillyWoofter What’s embarrassing about it? One door is a urinal and the rest are mixed toilets that are individual and lockable. Is the embarrassing bit the assumption that a woman wouldn’t want to use a urinal?
@isgaldemsugar@owenjonesjourno No, it doesn’t. It means a business CAN choose to operate single-sex spaces, not that they MUST. You are not “supposed” to have access to single sex spaces when gender neutral spaces are perfectly adequate in law.
@Naeluckmate@HagwithAttitude I feel uncomfortable with women in the men’s toilets. I was once sexually assaulted by a woman coming into the men’s. Why shouldn’t I have the same right to object?
@isgaldemsugar@owenjonesjourno No. It doesn’t. Your original comment said, and I quote, “I am entitled to female only spaces, by law”. If you can’t see how that is different to “I am permitted to have access to single-sex spaces” then I’m afraid there’s no point in continuing the conversation.
@JossJo_1989@owenjonesjourno@Shannon_84 I’m not pretending anything hasn’t been lost. I’m saying that you’ve gotten exactly what you wanted and yet you’re still not happy.
@isgaldemsugar@owenjonesjourno I never said it wasn’t permitted. You said it was an “entitlement by law” which it very clearly isn’t. Perhaps do a bit of research before trying to quote the law to people in future?
@isgaldemsugar@owenjonesjourno I’m not justifying men using women’s spaces at all. I’m saying that one solution is to provide gender neutral spaces with adequate safety (ya know, like floor to ceiling lockable doors) that work for everyone.
