There's nothing wrong with this obsession. Students study abroad even if they are living in Europe or amreekay. It's a wonderful experience for self development and to connect with outside world. Us having scammers around is a moment of shame, we should blame them, not students.

Pakistan’s universities have zero student counselling & placement facilities that can guide students during their degrees. The business incubation centres are 2000s computer labs where entry is restricted and yet in such unsupportive environment we blame students & families.

The level of hatred oozing out of people is nauseating. The 'Us vs Them' language belongs in Nazi propaganda but it is being posted in Pakistan and masquerading as a call for rights.

Let's break down the levels of racism in this post.

First is the hatred for the 'other' and an alienation of people. The idea that the city belongs to her and Sindhis are outsiders. This language of exclusion that paints people as being from 'interior' is what leads to hatred and then the other side responding with racism and painting people as being from Lucknow/UP.

This entire ghair maqaami discourse is nothing short of hate speech.

The fact that people feel so comfortable sharing comments like this that they would be arrested for in other countries shows the level of brainwashing in Pakistan.

This is akin to a white person posting a picture of black people and saying "they have destroyed my city - this is unfair texas ko sab africa kay logo say bhar do - where are America's representatives".

This is even worse than that because Karachi is the capital of Sindh, and has been a part of Sindh since its inception for centuries.

Facts don't matter to racists though and the racist coverage of events is such that any loss of privilege is seen as a loss of rights. Perceptions govern realities.

What she feels is a loss of her rights is that Sindhis are in LMC, DOW and JSMU.

Liaquat Medical College started as a medical school in 1881. It was a Sindhi institution before Pakistan even existed.

DOW was founded by the Government of Sindh in 1945.

JSMU was established under Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in 1973.

But for racists like Atika Mirza seeing Sindhis studying in these Universities is "interior say log bhar dena" - they are not Karachi's representatives. This is dog whistling of the highest order.

This generation of MQM's brainwashed idiots who are unable to see any issue beyond their ethnic prejudice come up with such levels of racism that they would be sued for their hate speech in other countries.

The entire coverage of the MDCAT results has been coloured with the same racism. There is corruption and favouritism, we have highlighted that in the case of SPSC and done a podcast detailing that. In that case Karachi was favoured over students from other cities so the media has not highlighted the weeks long protest against the Sindh Public Service Commission.

However, the fact that nobody from Karachi made it to the top 20 in the MDCAT results in of itself becomes oppression and the entire story is covered by the media with ethnic hatred.

Is there any evidence?

Just the fact that somebody outside Karachi managed to do better than a student from Karachi becomes a problem.

And that turns into a Sindhi-Muhajir thing whereas Sindhis live in Karachi too and Muhajir live all over Sindh.

Nobody from Sindh urban made it to the top 150 of the CSS 2025 Federal Government under BS 17 posts. Is the federal government also anti-muhajir? Unho nay bhi nainsaafi kardi Karachi kay saath?

Students from Sindh rural made it.

If you actually bother stepping outside of your bubble you will see how hard students from across Sindh work on these exams. They line up outside libraries before they open, they spent every waking minute studying for it, and hating them because they perform well and your racist brain cannot compute how somebody from Sindh can do well on an exam just shows how braindead your racist worldview is.

If all of it is just "nainsaafi" why are Sindh rural students outperforming Sindh urban students in the federal exams?

But you need a functioning brain to think beyond your prejudices, which people like Atika Mirza do not have.

They have lived a life of privilege, and they see all those privileges as their rights.

In their worldview, Karachi only belongs to Muhajirs. This is their city. "They" are the Sindhis who should be ethnically cleansed. A person whose family may have lived in Karachi for 200 years but if they study in LMC, JSMU or DOW Atika Rehman will see that as "interior say bhar diye hain"

JSMU, LMC and DOW was promised to Atika Rehman 7000 years ago.
