Everyday, the peaceful people of Myanmar are being targeted with crimes against humanity. We have made urgent and frequent requests for R2P, a no fly zone, arms embargoes, sanctions and recognition of NUG, but most of these requests have been met with no results on the ground..
Today, @RepGregoryMeeks introduced the “Burma Unified through Rigorous Military Accountability Act of 2021” or BURMA Act with @RepSteveChabot & @SenatorCardin to support & protect the Burmese people and send a clear signal to the Burmese military.

When the junta's armed forces stormed MinDat, more than 15 young men who tried to flee after being shot several times were captured and used as human shields. Airstrikes were also carried out.
