Please can we try and reach the target at £3000 for our client’s funeral to help the family financially especially her 5 children in which 3 are under 18.
We will continue the fundraiser and anything over the £3000 will go towards supporting the three younger children that our client was helping financially with.
Thank you so much to everyone in advance. 🧡

We want to express our deepest gratitude to @rickygervais , whose incredible kindness and generosity have supported so many charities.
His compassion has brought joy, hope, and relief to countless people and animals in need.
As a charity currently in the red, we can say with absolute honesty that without his support, we would not have survived another six months.
Today, there are tears of joy , not just from us, but from so many other charities who understand the struggle and have felt the impact of his generosity.
Ricky, your kindness reaches further than you know. Thank you for helping keep us , and others like us , going when times are toughest.
You’ve made a difference that will never be forgotten. 🧡
Out on the streets, we meet many young dogs whose owners are rough sleeping, also in vulnerable housing, or currently in our foster care.
These dogs deserve the same start in life as any other, and vaccinations are a vital part of keeping them safe and healthy.
It costs £29.25 to provide a full vaccination course for one dog.
If you’d like to support or sponsor a vaccination course, please click the link below to donate.
Your kindness helps protect the dogs who need us most. 🧡

Dogs on the Streets: Supporting @CityWestminster during severe weather!
Westminster City Council has formally SWEP (Severe Weather Emergency Protocol).
This activation focuses on homeless individuals who are especially vulnerable to cold weather.
As always, Dogs on the Streets is working closely with Westminster City Council to ensure that no dog is left out in dangerous conditions.
During this period, any dogs belonging to individuals brought in under SWEP will be offered immediate, safe, warm foster care with us.
Our priority is keeping both people and their beloved companions safe.
Cold weather can be life-threatening, and we are here to ensure that every dog receives shelter, warmth, and compassionate care for as long as needed.
If you come across anyone rough sleeping with a dog during severe weather, or if you are affected yourself, please reach out. No one should face freezing temperatures alone and no dog should either.
Together, we can protect the most vulnerable.🧡

DOTS Christmas celebration fundraising page for our community.
We really appreciate any support towards our Christmas celebration for our homeless and vulnerable community who come to us on the Strand.
We sadly do not have any spare funds to fund this ourselves. We are in desperate measures now so every pound will help contribute to give our community a little bit of festive joy as well as some vouchers to ensure that they have some food to help cover them over the Christmas period , which is a very lonesome time for them with just their loyal fur companion by their side.🧡
Thank you 🙏

One hour and 15 minutes left to vote! Please please let’s keep pushing this. We have previously said if we were successful in winning the £5000 donation we would donate £500 to each of the other two charities! Surely that’s a win win win!
Why can’t we all be on the same side?
Every single day, we meet people who have lost almost everything – except their dog. That dog is their lifeline, their family, and often the only thing keeping them going.
Yet far too often, the very services meant to help end up creating barriers, making it harder for small charities like ours to protect both vulnerable people and their dogs.
We may be a small charity, but every week major organisations, homelessness teams, domestic violence services, emergency responders , reach out to us for help.
Why? Because we look at the whole person, not just the dog, and we fight for dignity and compassion when it’s in short supply.
This week has been devastating.
•I had to make a complaint to a homelessness commissioner because a woman we’ve supported for years has been left to live in squalor. We had to take her dog into safety, but she’s still living in degrading conditions. We’ve offered to raise money for rehab, offered to pay for a deep clean, but without action, the cycle repeats.
•I had to make a formal complaint about a police officer who, in our view, targets vulnerable people with dogs and pushes for their destruction , including one dog in the last two days , despite legal communication from our lawyers.
I’m heartbroken. I can’t keep watching people who have already lost so much be treated like they, and their dogs, don’t matter.
To all services: We should be on the same side. These are people, these are lives, these are family members.
Let’s do better. Together, Or I’m just fighting a loosing battle due to all these major organisations having money and power behind them, the major power DOTS have is our hearts 😢

💔 We don’t do this for brownie points. We do this because it matters. 💔
At Dogs on the Streets, we care deeply , not just for the dogs in our care, but for their humans too. When we see something that doesn’t sit right, when we feel that a vulnerable person and their dog aren’t getting the support they deserve, we speak up , no matter how uncomfortable that might be.
This week, we raised serious concerns with the Homeless Commissioner in one area regarding the lack of adequate support for someone and their dog. It wasn’t easy. It never is. But we won’t stay silent when duty of care is being overlooked. And because we raised our voices, we now have a meeting next week with commissioners and services to demand better for people with dogs in the homeless community.
Dogs aren’t just pets , they’re lifelines. They’re protection. They’re love. And when services forget that, we remind them ….. loudly.
We’re a small charity, and unlike statutory services, we don’t get government funding for things like hazardous cleans or deep cleans needed to keep a dog and their owner safe in a temporary accommodation. But we step up anyway , because no one else will.
This week, DOTS is funding a deep clean to ensure a vulnerable woman and her dog can live in a safe and dignified space. It’s not glamorous. It’s not headline-worthy. But it’s real. It’s necessary. And it’s what we do.
If you can support this work , no matter how small , your donation will directly go towards helping someone rebuild safely with their dog by their side.
📢 We’re not here for medals. We’re not here to be liked. We’re here to protect those who need us most — even when others won’t.🧡

💔 This is why we do what we do. 💔
Today, we witnessed something truly powerful , the reunion of a beloved dog and their owner after being separated for near on a year due to a harrowing case of acute domestic violence.
Throughout the entire ordeal, the owner's only concern was their dog , their lifeline, their anchor, their constant in a world that had fallen apart. 💔
We made a promise: that their dog would be safe with us, and that when the time came, we would bring them home. Today, we kept that promise.
In the words of a major charity we supported through this case:
"If it wasn’t for Dogs on the Streets, this dog would not be back with their owner today."
There are no photos of the dog or the reunion and there never will be.
For safety reasons, especially as the perpetrator is currently out on bail, we will always put privacy and protection first.
But behind the scenes, There were tears. Trembling hands. And one dog who leapt into their owner’s arms like no time had passed. 🐾💞
This is the soul of our work. It’s not about headlines , it’s about rebuilding lives, protecting bonds, and giving both people and their dogs the chance to heal.
Thank you to all who support Dogs on the Streets , because of you, these reunions are possible. 🧡

🐾 Happy Sunday from the Sanctuary! ☀️
We’re in full swing today….feeds, walks, cleaning… and prepping for the upcoming HOT weeks ahead. ☀️
Being high up, we feel the heat BIG time and so do our furry friends.
We start earlier on the sanctuary in the extreme heat so the dogs can get their walks in before it’s “hotter than a Labrador in a woolly jumper.” 🐶🔥
BUT… we need your help.
One kennel block (12 kennels!) gets hotter than the others and our insulation that works great in winter isn’t much help when the sun’s out. 🌞
We’ve added some aircon units to our wish list , big ones for the medical block and smaller ones for the 12 kennel block. Every bit helps keep the pups cool, safe, and comfortable. 🧊
In the meantime: 💦 Hose downs galore 🏊♂️ Doggy paddling pools out 🍦 Frozen treats on tap 🎐 Dogs perfecting their “lying flat on the floor” technique
If you can chip in or help us secure an aircon unit, we (and the dogs!) would be eternally grateful and possibly a little less melty. 🐕❄️
THANK YOU for your support…..stay cool out there! 😎🐾

We have been informed that there is a Pomeranian dog that is running loose in traffic in SE 15. I can’t go into more detail as to what has occurred but if anyone sees this Pomeranian Dog please contact us as soon as possible that’s the only information we have for now, approach the dog with Caution if you see it as it is very fearful and could possibly react out of fair. This is urgent as the patient has now discharged themselves from hospital.
