No rest for the weary! Day after the election I’m back up in Sacramento chairing an important hearing on gas prices where we’re asking tough questions of regulators and the oil industry. Special mention has been made of my #SB1322 which has enhanced transparency in oil pricing.

SB 1301, @SenBenAllen, protects policyholders from unexplained and abrupt insurance nonrenewals by requiring more notice before a loss of coverage, specific disclosure of the reasons a policyholder may be dropped, and an opportunity to make repairs to keep coverage.

Fire survivors and consumer advocates celebrated the Senate passage of SB 877, SB 878 & SB 1301 to help families keep their home insurance coverage and get the insurance benefits they pay for after a disaster.
The bills now head to the Assembly.
