Three days ago, you called upon Smt. Nemcha Kipgen, Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister, to sensitize her community to be more humane and to uphold Christian values.

Today, three innocent Kuki-Zo civilians, including two unarmed women, were brutally murdered at point-blank range at Teikhang Village, IT Road, by cadres of the Tangkhul-led NSCN-IM and its affiliate, ZUF-Kamson.

In light of this tragic incident, may I respectfully urge you to come out of your silence and make a similar appeal to Shri Losii Dikho, Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister, as well.

I would be grateful if you could kindly convey to the NSCN-IM and ZUF-Kamson to refrain from targeting innocent civilians, including women, elders, and children. If they wish to assert their strength, let them engage man to man, rather than attacking the unarmed and defenceless.

Where was your Christianity when more than 1,500 Kukis were killed in the 1990s, including innocent infants, by the Tangkhul-led NSCN-IM?

Where was your Christianity when the Meiteis demanded Scheduled Tribe (ST) status, and we stood together as tribal communities under the umbrella of ATSUM to oppose the demand? But when the conflict erupted on 3 May 2023, you chose to stand alongside the Meitei side while Kukis were attacked, displaced, and killed.

Thousands of innocent Kukis are still waiting for justice—for their fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, and babies who were killed in 90s.

Were we not satisfied with the killings of Kukis in the 1990s? And now, in 2026, even targeting and killed our pastors?

Christianity is not merely about preaching humanity. It is about standing for truth, justice, compassion, and the dignity of every human life.

Before asking others to “be more human and Christian,” perhaps we should first ask ourselves: Where were our humanity and Christian conscience when our own fellow human beings were suffering?

You even stopped food supplies from reaching your fellow Christians’ areas. You even disrupted medical supplies to the Waichong area. Is this Christianity?

Three Nagaland CSOs Condemn Manipur Violence, Urge Release of Hostages

Peren, 15 May 2026: — The Nagaland Zeliang People Organization (NZPO), Zeliangrong Baudi, and Kuki Inpi Nagaland jointly condemned the recent violence in Manipur, calling the incidents “ugly and barbaric” and beyond human sensibility.

In a press release dated 15/5/26, the three Peren-based CSOs denounced the killing of a church leader and the taking of innocent citizens hostage from both communities, calling it “highly condemnable and reprehensible.”

The groups appealed to Zeliangrong and Kuki residents in Peren district and Nagaland to maintain peaceful coexistence and not let the incidents affect tribal harmony. They urged the public not to take the law into their own hands or act on emotional outbursts, and to report any incident to leaders immediately to prevent escalation.

The CSOs strongly demanded the immediate and safe release of all innocent individuals taken hostage.

Kuki Inpi Manipur Issues “Final Ultimatum” for Release of 31+ Kuki Hostages, Sets 15 May Deadline

Lamka, 14 May 2026: — The Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM), apex body of the Kuki tribes, has issued a “final and non-negotiable ultimatum” demanding the safe, unconditional release of more than 25 Kuki individuals held hostage in Senapati District and 6 Kuki persons at Ireng Naga by 5:00 A.M., 15 May 2026.

Calling the detentions “utterly unacceptable, inhuman, and barbaric,” KIM said the continued captivity of innocent civilians amid mourning for three murdered church leaders shows a “complete breakdown of humanity and accountability.”

KIM warned that failure to release the hostages by the deadline will hold concerned CSOs and responsible actors in Senapati District “fully and solely responsible” for any escalation of tension, unrest, or further conflict. While stating the Kuki-Zo people have shown “extraordinary restraint,” KIM added that “patience must never be mistaken for weakness” and it will not remain silent while civilians are held hostage.

The ultimatum was addressed to the Governor, DGP, and district officials of Kangpokpi and Senapati.

Leaked Video Allegedly Shows Tangkhuls, Arambai Tenggol(Tangkhul blood brother Meitei) Involvement in Killing of 3 Pastors; Social Media Post Claims Responsibility

15 May 2026: — A video circulating on social media claims that “Tangkhuls and Arambai Tenggol” were “caught red handed in the killing of 3 pastors,” referring to the 13 May ambush on Thadou Baptist Association church leaders in Manipur.

The post includes a nighttime video clip with the subtitle “Even though it’s already night-time, we are here far away in hilly areas working hard to fulfill our secret mission. I'm not allowed to reveal our mission, I shall reveal it later once it is accomplished. In order to fulfill our mission, many of us have volunteered. I will not reveal the exact location of the hill. Without fail you will get to know the news as soon as possible.

Comments in Manipuri. One user, Khomdram AmArjit Moirangcha, wrote: “Eyamb haidokpa yade hairag video thagatlidi” translated: “I won’t reveal now, will release the video later”. When asked, “Brother why share the video when you said it’s a secret?”, the same user replied: _“eikhoina toukhibani khangnaba video thagatpani”_ translated: “I shared it just to give the assurance that we did it”.

The 13 May ambush between Kotzim and Kotlen in Kangpokpi District killed three Kuki Baptist leaders and injured others, sparking condemnations from many groups and church bodies. Investigations into the attack are ongoing.

IBMC Condemns ‘Brutal’ Killing of 3 Kuki Pastors, Urges Justice and Reconciliation

Bengaluru, 13 May 2026: — The International Biblical Missionary Church (IBMC) has strongly condemned the “brutal killing and violent attacks” on Kuki Christian leaders on 13 May while they were returning to Kangpokpi after attending the United Baptist Convention Conference in Chiengkonpang, Lamka.

IBMC Director Rev. Dr. TL Angam Haokip grieved the loss of Rev. Dr. Vumthang Sitlhou, former MBC General Secretary, Pastor Kaigoulun Lhouvum, and Pastor Paogoulen Sitlhou, praising their “faithful service” and “commitment to peace and unity.” He also prayed for the recovery of the injured, naming Rev. SM Sitlhou, Rev. Kaithang Singsit, Mr. Thangtinlen Sitlhou, and Mr. Lungoumang Lhouvum.

Denouncing all acts of violence and bigotry, IBMC called on authorities to act “quickly and decisively,” conduct a full investigation, maintain law and order, and prevent further bloodshed. It urged churches and Christians to join in prayer and “actively advance peace, offer forgiveness, and strive for community reconciliation.”

IBMC extended condolences to bereaved families and the Christian community, praying that “God’s divine justice will prevail.”

Why are Shri Chongtham Bijoy’s own people and even members of Arambai Tenggol attacking and targeting him simply for demanding transparency and accountability in the Tronglaobi, Bishnupur bomb attack case?

In his statement, Chongtham Bijoy raised genuine and important public questions: Why are the NIA and the State Government taking so long to investigate such a serious incident? Why has no culprit been arrested until today? And why can’t the authorities openly inform the public about the progress of the investigation?

These are not anti-Meitei questions. These are questions about truth, justice, accountability, and transparency.

Chongtham Bijoy is proving himself to be one of the few Meitei leaders with the courage to speak openly and demand answers from both the Government and investigative agencies. A true leader does not remain silent when the people deserve clarity. A true leader stands for justice and transparency, even when it becomes uncomfortable for those in power.

Instead of condemning him, people should ask themselves: Why is demanding transparency becoming a crime? Why are those raising questions being targeted, while those responsible remain untouched? Why is accountability seen as betrayal?

The people deserve the truth, not silence. Democracy cannot function without questions, and justice cannot exist without transparency. Suppressing voices that demand accountability will only deepen public distrust and suspicion.

Asking questions is not betrayal. Demanding justice is not anti-community. It is the responsibility of every citizen and every leader who genuinely cares about the future of the people.
