Bought $AMPG after the ~33% drop.
I rarely buy stocks. If you look through my handle, you’ll see I make very few picks — and the track record speaks for itself.
I’m adding $AMPG here because I think the market is overreacting.
The herd was expecting amazing Q2 results, which is unrealistic for a micro-cap. Once X started spreading fear, everyone rushed to sell into low liquidity, creating what I believe is an amazing opportunity for patient investors willing to wait a few months for a potential re-rating in the next quarter.
Yes, revenue came in below expectations, and management pulled the specific $50M FY26 target. That matters.
But the bigger picture:
• Q2 revenue +51% sequentially to $8.07M
• Gross profit +161% YoY
• Gross margin expanded massively YoY
• ~$6M of follow-on orders received in July
• Balance sheet strengthened by ~$20M net from the rights offering
• $76M reseller LOI is still active
• Management expects a stronger H2
The key issue appears to be deployment/shipment timing, not the cancellation of the underlying opportunities.
At ~$3.95, I’m willing to bet that the market has already priced in a lot of the bad news.
This is a high-risk small cap, but the risk/reward here is extremely interesting to me.
I’m holding $AMPG with a 6-month thesis.
Base case: $7–8.
That’s ~100% upside on the table in the near future.
Let’s see how it plays out
$AMPG I agree a lot with post. After sleeping over this ER report, I think things looked more bleak than they really were last night.
AmpliTech has lots of cash, still a lot of revenue coming this year and no cancellations on orders, LOIs etc. Macro tailwinds are still there.

BREAKING: Berkshire Hathaway has begun deploying the $397.4 billion cash pile that Warren Buffett accumulated for 14 consecutive quarters.
Details include:

4. Berkshire bought $23.5 billion of equity securities during in Q2 and sold $3.7 billion in the same period
Berkshire Hathaway appears to be leaning bullish again.
Most people don't realize how big of a growth wave we are currently experiencing.
So far, with 88% of S&P 500 companies reporting earnings, the index has posted +50.4% growth in earnings year-over-year.
To put this into perspective, the already astronomical expectation of +23.1% growth has been more than doubled.
This will mark the 2nd consecutive quarter of earnings growth above +25% and the 7th consecutive quarter of double-digit earnings growth for the S&P 500.
The last time growth was this strong was in Q2 2021 as the US economy emerged from the pandemic and $4+ trillion in stimulus was handed out.
We are arguably in the midst of the biggest technological revolution in US history.
The data is absolutely insane.
$AAOI guided Q2 capacity to approach 150,000 units per month on the Q1 call. Murry said today they are approaching 200,000.
"Currently, our total manufacturing capacity is approaching 200,000 units per month, up from nearly 100,000 units per month of 800G and 1.6T capacity at the end of Q1."
Roughly 30% ahead of their own plan, and monthly capacity doubled off the nearly 100,000 they exited Q1 at.
Lin said demand runs 20 to 40% above what they can build and that capacity is booked through Q2 2027.
