We have heard from reliable sources that the state's GST collection has reduced to 28-30 per cent. If we consider the recent curfew, we have estimated a loss of around Rs 20 crore per day. The economic radius of the state is gradually shrinking day by day, and if this condition continues for another one or two years, we may witness a complete collapse of the state's economy... As citizens of the state, we would like the intervention of the state and Union governments to restore law and order as soon as possible," says Haorokcham Anil, Secretary, Manipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI).
