Jobs are stressful. So is unemployment. Raising kids is stressful. So is not having a chance to. Owning a home is stressful. So is depending on a landlord. Being single is stressful. So is maintaining a relationship. Life is a series of tradeoffs. Don’t romanticize the unknown.
i'm genuinely asking: why do we have to pretend to be busy at work when there's nothing to do?? who invented this whole "keeping up appearances" charade?? if my tasks are done, my work is done. i should be allowed to kick back, play games, or honestly, just go home. the absolute delusion of it all.
CALI VOLVERÁ A DETENERSE…
・Hacer otro máster
・Buscar “tu verdadera pasión”
・Aprender una profesión desde cero

Unpopular opinion:
Your trauma may explain you, but it does not excuse you.
What happened to you matters. The pain was real. The wounds were real. The people who hurt you may never fully understand the damage they caused.
But there comes a point where awareness changes the responsibility.
Once you can recognize your patterns, your triggers, your self-sabotage, your unhealthy coping mechanisms, and the cycles you keep repeating, the conversation has to change.
You are no longer just surviving your past.
You are actively shaping your future.
Too many people turn their trauma into an identity instead of treating it as something to heal from.
Your upbringing explains why you struggle with trust.
It explains why you fear abandonment.
It explains why you react the way you do.
It does not give you a lifelong pass to stay bitter, destructive, manipulative, or emotionally unavailable.
Healing is hard.
It's uncomfortable.
It's unfair that the person who was hurt is often the one who has to do the work.
But that's reality.
The strongest people aren't the ones with the most painful stories.
They're the ones who refuse to let those stories become their destiny.
Your trauma is not your fault.
But your healing, your growth, your accountability, and the life you build from this point forward are your responsibility.
Don't spend your life proving how badly you were hurt.
Spend it proving that what hurt you didn't get the final say.
someone said "if you don't let people experience the consequences of their actions towards u, you will remain a safe place for their worst behavior" and I couldn't agree more
I’m a retired brain surgeon and I wanna tell you why you feel like life is passing by. I just need one minute to explain this to you so hang in there.
Repetitive daily routines stop the brain from recording clear detailed memories. When every day looks the same, your brain does not track time the same as a clock does. It tracks change. If nothing new happens then days, months, and years start to blur together.
This is know as Time compression. When life lacks variety, your brain compresses past days together, making it feel like time is sped up.
To stop feeling like life is passing you by, add new experiences to your life. Break routine habits, like changing your daily home routine, taking a different route to work, or trying a new hobby.
Schedule small trips or plan new adventures so your days do not blend together.
Practice mindfulness by staying fully focused on what you are doing right now and not trying to race off to the next task.
Keep a journal and write down happy memories or memorable parts of the day before you go to sleep.
Take deep, calm breaths when you feel anxious or rushed to return your focus to the moment.
You can and you will retrain your brain to not feel like life is passing you by by following these few simple measures.
