I just heard today from a Muslim friend that in the mosque, there is a storeroom where one casket is kept and can be used for as long as 50 years to convey deceased Muslims without changing it. The casket does not know your wealth, academic status, or social status.

I was also told that the mosque takes care of the burial arrangements, with the family only required to provide a white cloth to wrap the deceased.

What I can deduce from this is that Islam constantly reminds its followers that death can come at any time. Maybe that is why many wealthy Muslim men and women do not allow material wealth to make them forget the temporary nature of life.

Death treats everyone equally. What truly matters is how we live, the people we impact, and what we leave behind.

The point is that a country of 90 million people has looked at the most powerful military and financial empire in human history, and said: no.

Said it for forty-seven years.

Said it under sanctions that would have broken most nations.

Said it while being threatened with annihilation on a weekly basis by countries with actual nuclear weapons.

The question this war is really asking is not whether Iran survives.

The question is whether any country is allowed to survive on its own terms.

That question belongs to all of us.

The Dajjāl will not be the greatest test because his deception will be obvious.

It will be dangerous because he will make falsehood look like truth.

He will come with extraordinary signs, things that will test what you truly believe. He will command the sky to rain, and it will rain. He will command the earth to produce its vegetation, and it will produce. He will have what appears to be Paradise and Hell, yet his Paradise will actually be Hell, and his Hell will actually be Paradise.

And this is the frightening part:

The greatest protection against him is not merely knowing his description.

It is knowing your Lord.

The Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam warned us about the Dajjāl more than any other trial and taught us to seek Allah's protection from his fitnah in our ṣalāh.

He also taught us to memorize the opening verses of Sūrat al-Kahf as a protection from the Dajjāl.

Think about that.

Before the Dajjāl appears, Allah has already given us preparation.

So don't wait until the greatest deception arrives before strengthening your īmān.

Learn your Qur'an.
Know your Tawḥīd.
Guard your ṣalāh.
Seek knowledge.
Make duʿā.
And never become so attached to this dunya that you would trade your Ākhirah for what merely appears beautiful.

The Dajjāl will deceive people with what they see.

But the believer must learn to see beyond appearances.

May Allah protect us from the fitnah of the Dajjāl, the trials of life and death, and the punishment of the grave.

To understand who a child gets their intelligence from, we have to go back to a moment that changed the way we look at biology and faith. It starts with an encounter between the Prophet (peace be upon him) and a Jewish scholar who came to test his knowledge.

When this scholar asked about why a child resembles one parent and not the other, the Prophet (peace be upon him) gave an answer that was centuries ahead of its time. He said:

أَمَّا الْوَلَدُ: فَإِذَا سَبَقَ مَاءُ الرَّجُلِ مَاءَ الْمَرْأَةِ نَزَعَ إِلَيْهِ الْوَلَدُ، وَإِذَا سَبَقَ مَاءُ الْمَرْأَةِ مَاءَ الرَّجُلِ نَزَعَ إِلَيْهَا الْوَلَد
"As for the child: if the man’s fluid precedes the woman’s fluid, the child resembles him. And if the woman’s fluid precedes the man’s fluid, the child resembles her."

This concept of “sabaq” (preceding or outstripping) is the key. It describes a biological race where one parent’s essence claims the territory of the child's identity. This is not about who finishes first in a physical sense, but about which parent's traits dominate the final outcome.

For a long time, the world believed in a theory called "blending inheritance." People thought traits mixed like two colors of paint. They believed a child was a blurry average of their parents. It was Gregor Mendel who eventually proved this wrong with his experiments. He showed that traits do not merge. Instead, they remain distinct and compete for dominance.

When Mendel discovered dominant and recessive genes, he was confirming the divinity of the Prophet’s words. The "precedence" mentioned in the Hadith is the same thing as "dominance" in genetics.

One parent’s information takes the lead and is expressed, while the other might stay hidden. This shows that the Prophet (peace be upon him) was describing the hierarchy of our biological traits long before we had a name for them. It is a powerful proof that his knowledge was coming from the source of life itself.

Ibn al-Qayyim took this even further in his book Tuhfat al-Mawdud. He realized that this "resemblance" was a total package. It was not limited to the shape of a nose or the color of skin. He understood that whichever parent’s essence prevails, it sets the foundation for the child’s internal nature. This includes their temperament, their character, and their sharpness of mind.

He also explained that the child pulls from the dominant side. This is why our tradition places so much weight on the lineage of the mother. There is a deep belief that while the father provides the social identity and the drive, the mother provides the cognitive soil.

There is a Hadith where the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

تَخَيَّرُوا لِنُطَفِكُمْ، فَإِنَّ الْعِرْقَ دَسَّاسٌ
"Choose carefully for your seed, for the vein is a silent traveler"

This Hadith is a direct call for us to look at the intellect in the family line. Those "crawling veins" of intelligence can stay hidden for a generation and then prevail when the time is right.

The ultimate truth is that we are a collection of these hidden roots. Intelligence is a gift from Allah, but the parents are the channels.

A child is the result of a biological and spiritual struggle where one lineage's traits win the day. The mother is the first school because her mental depth is the primary environment that activates these traits.

Our brilliance is often a debt we owe to the women who carried these silent strengths until they found a place to bloom in us.

"First of all, despite all the advances in science, creating an artificial kidney is extremely difficult. One reason is that Allah has placed within the kidney an incredibly delicate filtration system. It is so fine and intricate that, to this day, no machine has been able to produce a filter of comparable precision. Even if such technology were developed and such a filter could be manufactured, it would cost billions of rupees."

"And even if we were to spend billions of rupees to make such a filter, there would still be something inside the kidney that remains beyond our capability. Allah has endowed the kidney with a remarkable regulatory system that determines exactly how much water the body needs, how much should be retained, and how much should be eliminated. Each person's kidneys make these decisions according to that individual's physical condition, body, and weight. They determine precisely how much water should remain in the body and how much should be excreted—and they do so with extraordinary accuracy. As a result, the kidneys retain only the amount of water the body requires and remove the excess in the form of urine."

"Therefore, even if we were able to build an artificial kidney at enormous cost, we still could not reproduce the remarkable regulatory system that Allah has placed within every human kidney."
