BREAKING: 🇫🇷 France has proposed a 31.4% tax on swapping crypto into stablecoins, even when nothing is cashed out.

For example, an investor buys $10,000 of Bitcoin and it rises to $20,000.

If they swap it into a stablecoin, they owe $3,140 in tax, even though they never cashed out.

@VALRdotcom Yes, the option is there, but no one ever lends the crypto. I've had xrp and btc available to lend for weeks and no one borrowed any of it. Even at the terribly low interest rates...

Things like xrp staking on other platforms at 4%+ rates look much more appealing
