When intimacy is discussed in Islam, why does it sometimes sound like only the husband’s needs matter?
A wife has needs, rights, and feelings that cannot simply be ignored—and the Prophetic tradition makes that clear.

In today’s Nigeria, we are practising political sycophancy without shame.
Too many people no longer defend principles; they defend politicians.
When loyalty to a person becomes stronger than loyalty to the truth, democracy suffers.
You people asked me to write another book, but did not specify what kind.
So I join some incredible illustrators and writers to produce 20 Nigerian Children books with @bookbuzzNG

🚨 BREAKING:
Palestine's UN representative, Riyad Mansour, broke down in tears discussing a Palestinian doctor who lost 9 of her 10 children in an Israeli attack.
This is a horror and trauma the mind cannot comprehend and the heart cannot bear.
I almost never share my dreams, but today I’ll make an exception.
Throughout my life, even when I dreamt of Palestine, there were always Israeli soldiers in the background because those were the images I’ve grown up with.
Then a month ago, I dreamt that my father was showing my family around our village in Tulkarem, where he was born before the occupation. He was showing us his trees and crops with such joy and nostalgia that my words could never capture. But the most beautiful part of the dream was what wasn’t there. No soldiers or settlers.
Then last night, I had another beautiful dream about Palestine. And for the first time in my life, I dreamt of Al-Aqsa itself without soldiers in the background.
I don’t know what this means for me personally, though I have my prayers of what I hope to see in my own lifetime. I also don’t claim to be a pious person sharing these dreams as some sort of new prophecy. I don’t need a dream to tell me how this story ends. While I long to pray in that Masjid one day and pick olives from the trees that generations of my family cared for before the colonizers came, I already fully believe with certainty that Palestine will be freed one day InshaAllah.
But amid devastation so overwhelming that can pull the heart to despair, these dreams profoundly warmed mine. And so I chose to share them, praying that anyone else who has grown up carrying this trauma might find some solace in them, while also recognizing that those who have lived beneath the occupation have endured its pain and cruelty in ways the rest of us can never fully comprehend.
Inna lil Laahi wa inna ilaiHi Raaji'un!
It is with profound sadness and total submission to the will of Allah that I received the news of the passing of His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr Ahmed Muhammad Sani II, CON, the Emir of Gumel in Jigawa State.
The revered monarch passed away today, Thursday, in Cairo, Egypt. He reigned as the Emir from December 16, 1980 to Thursday, September 3, 2026.
Gumel Emirate is one of the oldest and most respected traditional institutions in Northern Nigeria. Founded in the 18th century, the Emirate has a rich history of scholarship, governance, and service to humanity. Over the centuries, Gumel has produced renowned scholars, jurists, and leaders who contributed immensely to the moral and intellectual development of the region. The Emirate remains a symbol of peace, unity, and cultural heritage in Jigawa State.
On behalf of myself and my family, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the late Emir, the Gumel Emirate Council, His Eminence the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar III, CFR, the Government and good people of Jigawa State, and the entire nation.
The late Emir was a distinguished scholar, a beacon of wisdom, and a father to all. He dedicated his life to the service of his people, the promotion of peace, education, and the preservation of our cultural values. His leadership, humility, and commitment to community development will be greatly missed.
We pray that Allah SWT forgives his sins, accepts his good deeds, and grants him Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
May Allah also grant the family, the Emirate, and the people of Jigawa the strength and fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
May Allah admit him into Jannatul Firdaus together with our departed parents and loved ones.
Signed:
Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, CON.

We have witnessed periods when good people assumed the mantle of leadership, whether in government or community responsibilities, only to face serious challenges, resistance, and even sabotage.
The way things are going in this country, I sometimes wonder:
Can good leaders truly succeed within a bad system?
Or have we, as a people, become part of the problem?
What is wrong with us?
@PoliceNG On 24 August 2026 at about 5 pm, I paid 30k for the police character certificate. The request status is still showing unpaid on my POSSAP dashboard, while I had already paid via bank transfer into the Nigeria Police Parkway account. Kindly resolve the matter. Thank you
