@swking_1998 I agree that AI is best utilized when it can teach something (and not just give students a quick answer). I have not used chatGPT, but I've heard you can have full-on conversations with it!

@DoretyC43265 Padlet is a collaborative app that I've been using for years. Students can create and design "walls" which allow other students to post on their walls (i.e. responses to questions). Responses can be in various forms of media which allows for creativity/engagement.

@swking_1998 Teachers can integrate AI into the classroom by having students use it to generate images. For example, AI can generate an unrealistic or impossible image and students can write a story about it. A pro is that AI fun. A con is that it needs to be closely monitored.

@jaimebaffuto A lot of time, gamification in the classroom involves technology. If a students' 1:1 technology doesn't work, this can cause problems. A student may get upset because his/her participation is interrupted. A solution to this is to partner this student up with someone else/

I think the format of a blog lends itself to conversation/responses, so this seems like a tool that will be able to reach students all over. I also think student's prefer posting online in real-time vs. a written response.

@DFleurantin98 @tompgavin I like your TikTok idea for creating "How to Solve..." videos. I think that social media has shortened students' attention spans, so these one minute video would be perfect. Students would hopefully remember the methods this way.

@tompgavin I would use Instagram in the classroom. Students can create reels to explain step-by-step processes and craft responses using images/short clips. Students may feel more comfortable responding to an in-class prompt with a technology they may already use at home. #wuedt6020

This sounds like an awesome idea. Especially since many students will most likely never get to go to China, this is a great way to add authenticity to learning. I can also imagine students would be very engaged in these activities.

@JDiaz003 @tompgavin Adaptive learning is so important! Without programs that adapt to students' individual needs, students aren't being served fairly. Education has repeatedly shown that students grow from equity and not equality. Different modifications are necessary for students. #wuedt6020

@tompgavin I will most likely adopt gamification. I will integrate this emerging trend by coming up with a badge and level system to reward students for extra time spent and content-consumed. This way, no one wins or loses, but motivation is increased for all. #wuedt6020
