@LNotorfrancesco I steer my students away from using it as a calculator because they will rely on it too much. I want incorporate it but in a way where it is used for learning, not a quick answer. One app I want to try is chatGPT, just to try and make content/materials. #wuedt6020
@KS2024WU One big thing I have noticed is students becoming heavily reliant on technology, especially for math. Rather than trying to think a problem through, they turn to technology. To combat this I have tried more traditional lessons where little technology is used. #wuedt6020
@lizbmasters I would have to say between Google Docs and OneNote. Both have brought students together to be able to collaborate and communicate on assignments. Google Docs has more variety in what you can create, but both I have enjoyed using. #wuedt6020
@Bandajuma001 I agree. AI becomes more intelligent based off of what it is fed. So as long as it has access to information all across the board, it should be useful for everyone. However, that is hard for us to truly know. #wuedt6020
@KtestaWilmu The reliance also is a big problem to me. If students realize they can use AI to complete work for them, they will never think about content on their own. That is a huge line in the use of AI and concern amongst the controversy. Some barriers would be needed for sure. #wuedt6020
@ste3834 I really want to try to use ChatGPT to make material. I am curious what the quality is like and how aligned it is to a curriculum. It would absolutely be a huge time saver! #wuedt6020
@lizbmasters Hey Elizabeth,
The reliance on AI is definitely a big concern not only for students, but for teachers. I think there needs to be a happy medium of traditional development of materials and AI generation. Using AI constantly could cause major issues. #wuedt6020

Hey Jennifer, I also enjoy the personalization that comes with AI. Students could get overwhelmed in their confusion. They may start spamming the AI program with their questions which may make it better or worse.

@LNotorfrancesco Hey Lauren,
I really enjoy the image production! Especially in the classroom, students could generate exactly what they need for an assignment. However, it is a hard line to ride because students "creativity" will kick in and they will start making their own images. #wuedt6020
@JWhite2319 Hey Jessica,
That would be a huge time saver. I know for my IEP kids I need to modify text for them. Having AI do it for me would give me more opportunity to support them in different ways, and may be even better. Understanding AI format would be a big hurdle. #wuedt6020
@HongmanW@tompgavin I also am interested in integrating YoTube into my classroom. I think it would establish a nice sense of community where students can go to help one another as well as learn more about each other. As well as make the learning environment more interactive like you said. #wuedt6020
@JWhite2319@tompgavin Hey Jessica,
I think Instagram would be awesome to use in a geography class. Students being able to see where others have been or are going will encourage communication as well as make connections to material being learned. I like the sense of community it would bring.#wuedt6020
@tompgavin I would integrate YouTube into my classroom. We could have an account for the class that all students have access to where we can post help videos. As well as videos about students themselves and their cultures. I feel this would encourage a lot of collaboration. #wuedt6020
@jaimebaffuto @tompgavin Hey Jaime, I think gamification is an awesome way to engage students. Material sometimes can get very linear and being able to demonstrate content in a game-like environment peaks engagement and allows for more knowledge to be attained. #wuedt6020
@HongmanW@tompgavin Hey Hongman, VR sounds really interesting! Students learning a new language can get lost in the content and have difficulty finding something to connect it to. Using VR will directly link what they are learning to a culture peaking interest and highlighting importance. #wuedt6020
@tompgavin I will adopt AI in education as my emerging trend. I will integrate this into my classroom by using apps like ChatGPT and MagicSchool AI to generate pieces of lessons/activities. As well as for students to use for discovery of content, a study resource, and creativity. #wuedt6020
@JWahl4520@piktochart I really like the organization of the information in your infographic! It is very easy to follow through and not too distracting with graphics.
