@MrDownes214 AI can be used for student learning because they can use Chat GPT to ask questions to further their own research. They can also use it to develop images for projects.
@swking_1998 I can use AI to generate differentiated texts or word problems for my students. Students can use AI to ask questions and create projects using Chat GPT.
@LDeVault002 Gamification thrives in my classroom when used for reviews or checks for understanding. I like to use games like Prodigy and Blooket. Many times reviews can be boring for students, using games increases engagement and makes it fun.
@HongmanW@tompgavin I think YouTube would be great in the classroom. I use it quite often. It would be interesting to create a class account that all the kids could share videos on and view each others videos.
@LNotorfrancesco@tompgavin I like the idea of using Instagram as well. I agree that they would be more comfortable using Instagram, as many of them are already using it personally. I was also thinking it would be nice for me to post short videos with instructions/mini lessons.
@tompgavin I would use Instagram in my classroom. I think the ease of use would make it the best option for my first graders. They could share pictures of projects, videos, and communicate through likes and comments with anyone. #wuedt6020
@swking_1998@tompgavin I would also like to use AI in my classroom. I have used ChatGPT some. I used it to find better wording for an award I gave. I'd like to use it for lessons/activities, but wonder if it would be aligned to standards. I'm not sure if my littles could use it.
@DFleurantin98@tompgavin I would love to add more activities with gamification to my lessons, especially since I teach 1st grade. When we play Prodigy or Blooket, they love it. I'd like to learn about more ways to implement gamification.
@tompgavin The emerging trend I will adopt is improving digital literacy. I believe digital literacy is important. I will integrate this into my classroom by including mini lessons about internet safety and how to find credible sources, and have students collaborate on projects. #wuedt6020
