@meranchik18 I think it makes students more motivated & engaged because they have supports/resources online but can also ask face to face questions on zoom meetings. Students can go back & watch videos that you put on their to help them with finishing their flexible assignments. #wuedt6020
@KS2024WU I think negatives would be having to monitor student tabs when starting to enforce rules-especially at the beginning of the year. My students can tend to get off task and they think by being quiet I won’t know that they’re on the wrong thing. #wuedt6020
@AlexaM21559 I definitely agree with this! I also teach math and it is sometimes a struggle to get them to want to learn! Middle school really enjoys those rewards! #wuedt6020
@KtestaWilmu I appreciate your feedback! Gamification can look like many things- not actually playing a virtual game. It can just be incorporating game-like elements into your lesson. For example, having class competitions to solve problems or ask questions! #wuedt6020
@JWahl4520@tompgavin I really enjoy this idea of using YouTube. Having students create videos on a class channel sounds like an amazing way to engage and interact with students through their learning.
@DFleurantin98@tompgavin I agree with this idea! I also teach math and using TikTok sounds like an engaging way for students to expand their thinking and interact with eachother.
@tompgavin I would use tiktok in my classroom. I think this would be a fun way for students to explore and integrate social media technology in the classroom. I think this is a great way for students to interact with each other with an app they are comfortable with already!#wuedt6020
@JDiaz003@tompgavin I love this idea! I myself have a very diverse classroom and looking into this to customize education to meet everyone’s needs is crucial for their success. Differentiation is so important!
@LNotorfrancesco@tompgavin I also would most likely adopt this trend. My 6th graders get very competitive but also tend to argue quickly. So I think this idea would be great in the classroom!
@tompgavin I will most likely adopt the gamification. After researching data, gamification boosts student learning and motivation and I’m curious to see it happen in my own classroom. I will integrate this in my classroom through a point system to make a friendly competition.#wuedt6020
