@peyton7622 The majority of the time I can see it but there have been plenty of times I can recall (especially health-related "studies") that have spread false info because it was backed by a random study that takes one google search to prove but I'm too lazy to look into it. #450SocialSP23

@Skirp_Rawdogin I think it only works if people see all your profiles. Which most people do if they know you. Strangers however will create an idea of who you are from what you show per profile. They can create different expectations unless their profile accurately depicts them. #450SocialSP23

@Khospenthalbsu I don't like that idea because our digital footprint shows our humanity, ie. our ability to make mistakes. If it's always there we have the opportunity to show how we are developing/maturing. However, I do think it's good in scenarios where your privacy is violated #450SocialSP23

@peyton7622 I personally think that it's easier for it to occur in person as people's intentions are clearer than what is displayed online. And people fake profiles all the time so you could be talking to the opposite gender but online they are the same gender. #450SocialSP23

@Khospenthalbsu It shouldn't be appropriate as it degrades the employees. The workplace is a professional environment and any communication holding strong implications should reflect it. Such a big layoff... I would think someone would share a second eye before sending it off. #450SocialSP23

@peyton7622 TikTok has a very diverse amount of content and it requires little effort to find new content so it's easily entertaining. Also, it will often spark my creativity. Instagram gives me a filtered experience; using it to keep up with creators and brands that I enjoy. #450SocialSP23

@AshleyS62035535 I think it does in a variety of ways. I've seen it passively online to actively in person in most common practices. However, I can recall times where kids post controversial opinions online to be met with aggression in the real world. #450SocialSP23

@peyton7622 I like the idea of it being a social shaping perspective. While people decide what technology is going to stick around, that technology needs to be created for those opinions. A cycle of communication. #450SocialSP23

@brynnthomas517 I think it is very similar as well! Note how different algorithms for different platforms result in our preference to what apps we use. The most "relatable" algorithm will invoke the best response from consumers. In the end what filters us isn't the algorithm, but ourselves.
