Just in case you thought he was done with just one national academy…today our fearless leader @Farsh_G got inducted into the @theNAMedicine!!! #NAE#NAM
OFFICIAL: @theNAEng inducts the Class of 2020! We are proud to welcome 86 new members and 18 new international members. Congratulations to this incredible group of engineers!
Thrilled to have met the new @RiceUniversity President @RDesRoches at the #NAE meeting this year! Congratulations on your induction to the class of 2020! @theNAEng
Please join me June 13, 12pm CT for a webinar on my favorite topic:
“I was trained how to do everything but run a lab!”
The lecture is free on the AOCConnect platform. Just register (no cost) as a researcher: https://t.co/u5zNm4F72U & the info will be sent from there. (1/3)
Sometimes recapitulating a system in culture teaches you something new! @LPferdehirt and colleagues engineer mouse iPSCs to create chondrocytes that resist inflammation-induced clock disruption and loss of matrix production. https://t.co/REWlsIurGQ
Another fun result in @LPferdehirt's & @annardamato's study - stem cells (iPSCs) don't have a circadian rhythm, but as they differentiate to chondrocytes, they develop a 24 hr clock, similar to primary chondrocytes (which will continue to cycle for over a week outside the body!)
