@NWSNewOrleans Y'all issued, 40 minutes before this alert, a severe warning of over quarter size hail, happening early morning, before sunrise, and are now saying marginal risk for severe storms this afternoon-evening?
@DaveBakerTV It's been said that severe storms are likely with heat + upper 60s-low 70s dew points. Are those the only ingredients needed for severe storms? Unfortunately, in addition to the flash flood risk, we have both ingredients today.
@NWSNewOrleans Our local meteorologists verified a 72mph wind gust from this weather system, yesterday, at the Alexandria airport. How likely are these severe damaging wind gusts today in addition to locally heavy rain and occasional lightning strikes?
@MercedesVarnado Queen! I have a serious ๐ฐ inquiry๐ฐ I've already made with several celebs/wrestlers. I never asked you, my favorite of all, bc I figured the CEO wouldn't take fan inquiries, but you never know without asking. How do I send you my inquiry for you to consider? Reply or DM me. โค๐
@NWSNewOrleans What features are in place to put the outlined area in greater risk than nearby areas outside of it with all under the same storm complex? For example: The same atmospheric conditions must be present in Iberia and Baton Rouge yet one is foreccasted at higher risk than the other?
@DaveBakerTV@CozartKLFY Will this be even worse than expected with models mostly predicting one big shield of rain and now several smaller lines have developed ahead of the bigger squalls? All this before the more horizontal line that will train later? #GodHelpUs ๐
@SouthSide_Pride@DanielKATC@festivalintl@robperillo Thanks for the question. Depends how long it takes the squall in TX to get here if storms don't develop ahead of it. 5PM radar showed it weakening. Won't happen. Storms been holding strong like this morning. And there's nothing to weaken it before or when it arrives.
@SouthSide_Pride@DanielKATC@festivalintl Fair enough. I saw your question in search and was just trying to help. However, if you check the latest update. I'm already right. First they said until 9:30. Now it's until 10:30AM in New Iberia. They have no clue.
@SouthSide_Pride@DanielKATC@festivalintl I'm no meteorlogist, but I use common sense. Rob said he expected no severe wx or flooding from these storms. Yet both occurred. I know you don't know me, but ask me if you ever have questions. They'll hardly answer people because they don't know answers and they're often wrong.
@robperillo Appearances are deceiving. Still prompting severe warnings. The trend, the past few yrs, is when meteorlogists say no severe wx or flash flooding expected - more times than not- Be ready for it. It's not seasonal pattern changes or less wx balloons. This is going on for yrs now.
@DanielKATC@DanielKATC I'm sorry about my tweet this morning, Daniel. I already had storm damage and I guess anxiety influenced my tweet. I kept seeing eastward movement all morning + KATC's POWER DOPPLER 3 was frozen. I didn't know about the southern movement. Sorry again.
@DanielKATC I don't understand. You just said, in your last GMA update, that all these storms will be out of Acadaiana in the next hour. Judging by the size/direction of this system. It will last here from one end to the other and will surely not be out of here by 8am or 9am.
@KATCTV3 Please stop calling forecasters "weather experts". Instead of usual break ins. No weather updates on GMA. I recall @robperillo saying these storms wouldn't be bad like last week's storms. Right. Way worse. Breyanna forecasted weakening before arrival. Oops. #AllWrong
