An Independent Disciplinary Commission has today expelled Southampton from the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs after the Club admitted to multiple breaches of EFL Regulations related to the unauthorised filming of other Clubs’ training.
In addition, the Club has received a four-point deduction that will be applied to the 2026/27 Championship table.
The effect of today’s order is that Middlesbrough are reinstated into the 2026 Play-Offs and will proceed to the Play-Off Final against Hull City. The final remains scheduled for Saturday 23 May, with the kick-off time to be confirmed.

Leeds United played exactly 1,919 league matches between our last two league wins at Old Trafford in February 1981 and tonight. A fairly significant number in our history! #lufc
@JackLUFC1919 Fair, his game management has always seemed poor, and not really a fan of his lineup for Arsenal. But willing to give him the chances, let's see how Newcastle goes.
@JackLUFC1919 For premier league survival it is, do doubt well face sides as poor as Everton that opening game, but replicate that performance enough games at home and we’ll be alright.
@ChaosAnd82259@JackLUFC1919 Whilst I don't really rate them players either thats an odd point, how are they relevant now to Farke? Rejecting Gruev off the back of our midfield injuries is funny and you’re also saying you'd be happy with just Nmecha and DCL as our strikers for a premier league season?
