@DrLKVaughan I think it is much simpler than this. They are public sector employees, considered nearly impossible to sack, and the taxpayer foots the bill. You don’t tend to find this on the right in US politics.

@DrLKVaughan IMO the govt controlling the financial strings will at least provide some element of pressure on the colleges unlike the monopoly cartel they run as atm, forcing trainees to be members in order to access portfolios.

@LBC The report says the exact opposite. That “natural birth” was pushed at the expense of patient care. You would think she would have read the report before pushing her ideological point of view. She doubles down on the agenda that was identified as a cause!
