Great to see Tram's paper online showing that rTMS increased interneuron activity following demyelination and increased remyelination by new and surviving oligodendrocytes. Thanks to coauthors including @DrCarlieCullen , @AlastairFortune , @LauraReale12 , @Tomlewis2310 .
I am pleased to launch the Multiple Sclerosis Centre of Research Excellence, funded by the NHMRC. I look forward to working with Bruce Taylor, @williamreay96 , Ingrid van der Mei, @aydzhouyuan , @BradASutherland , Jake Gratten, @NatashaJStevens , Leonid Churilov & Chris Gumley
I enjoyed coauthoring this @TrendsNeuro spotlight with @FletcherJL showcasing interesting research from @aiman_saab and others in the area of oligondendrocyte-axon interactions.

We look forward to starting work on our NHMRC Ideas grant with @FletcherJL, @nickomatics, @BradASutherland and @BruestleLab. Together we will find out how MS-associated genetic variants alter brain cell function.
Our project will use IPSCs from the @ResearchMenzies MS Stem biobank. We will make more iPSC lines available through MS Stem as the project progresses.

Our team looks forward to collaborating with OCTOPUS chief investigator (CI) Prof Jeremy Chataway @mssocietyuk, @MS_Australia President @desgraham_msa, @MSWA_CEO Melanie Kiely, PLATYPUS CI Prof Simon Broadley @Griffith_Uni and others in the Australian #MS community on this trial.
We’re excited to be part of the new PLATYPUS clinical trial which launched yesterday at #MSResearchConf2023. PLATYPUS, which will test the efficacy of potential brain repair treatments in people with progressive MS, is an extension of the UK's OCTOPUS trial launched in April '23.
@ResearchMenzies@PerronInstitute It was great to visit colleagues @PerronInstitute. I had some great discussions with Jenny Rodger and was able to meet the Perth team for out TAURUS2 trial. Thanks for hosting my visit!!
