Delighted that @Keir_Starmer has agreed to join us on the #LSNPod next week to talk about the leadership election. Have a question for Keir? Drop us a Tweet, DM or email [email protected] We’ll ask the best ones!
If true(!!!), at least IPSA have listened (sort of) but the choice is to employ one more person & no capacity to retain experienced staff with appropriate pay rises (you know in line with inflation) or to give staff a pay rise but continue with excessive workloads @LabourStaff
One hundred years. Wow! Congratulations from all your friends and colleagues at @LabourStaff. Thank you for everything that you do. Here’s to the next hundred years of our partnership 🌹
On this day in 1920: Poale Zion (the Jewish Labour Movement) affiliated to the Labour Party on 5 February 1920.
Today marks the first day of our centenary year of affiliation making us one of the longest affiliated socialist societies in the Labour Party.
NEW: Lisa Nandy writes to Jennie Formby complaining about the format for the Labour leadership hustings.
She says: "I am firmly of the view that the scale of our defeat in December, the solutions that each of the candidates want to put forward, warrants more than 40 seconds."
We’re looking to add a BAME Officer and a Vice-Chair (Women’s) to our Executive. If you’re interested and work on the Parliamentary Estate, then drop us an email at: [email protected]
We will be sharing some jobs on this account over the next few weeks that we think may be of interest to former Labour staffers. Please drop us a message if you have anything to add below ⬇️
We’ll be arranging a Q&A with the leadership candidates, specifically for party staff and MPs’ staff. DMs are open for suggested questions. Hope you can join us @Keir_Starmer@jessphillips@EmilyThornberry@RLong_Bailey@lisanandy. We’ll be in touch with the details 🌹
If this is accurate, then it’s deeply concerning. It’s the type of behaviour that you would expect from a well-known sports retailer, not the Labour Party. First the issue of staff pay, and now this. DS

EXC: Labour staff who were told their contracts wouldn't be renewed during the election campaign were bringing a complaint to the party about their working conditions, via trade unions.
Labour said the decision was financial, but is now recruiting again.

Staff who have worked incredibly hard throughout the election campaign, in HQs and regions, deserve much better than this. It is not the time for a fundamental reorganisation, and this is certainly not the way to do it.
