The objectives this year include:
1) Raising awareness about the need to change the conservation narrative and providing concrete, innovative examples of how to do this, as well as stimulating discussion to unlock new ideas.
2) Determining and discussing everyone’s role in the business of conservation and how to collaborate and grow our impact.
3) Developing a pipeline of conservation leaders for Africa and connecting stakeholders through interactive discussions and projects.
ZELO Land and Natural Resources Unit Lead @HazelChimbiro is speaking on a panel examining necessary investments for effective governance in community-led conservation.
Our message is strong governance enables contracts, benefit sharing, compliance, and accountability.
