It is often said that "the Tangkhul NSCN-IM and LAISRAM Meitei elements cannot be trusted due to their consistently nefarious conduct and lineage."

The Khoupum Area Village Authority Council (KAVAC) was invited to Hebron Camp, Dimapur, Nagaland, where senior Tangkhul NSCN-IM functionaries, including alleged highway extortionists, perpetrators of mass killings, and narcotics traffickers, are based. Mr. V.S. Atem, right-hand man and second-in-command of Tangkhul NSCN-IM, delivered an address on peaceful coexistence.

However, immediately thereafter, the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF), which is currently under a Suspension of Operations agreement with the Government of India, was attacked in the presence of innocent, unarmed civilians.

I have consistently urged the people of Chandel, Tamenglong, Senapati, and Noney districts to remain cautious of such duplicitous elements.

KHIPC Urges Kuki MLAs, Deputy CM to Resign Amid Manipur Unrest

KHIPC demanded Deputy CM Nemcha Kipgen and Kuki MLAs resign immediately, citing 250+ deaths and 60,000 displaced since May 2023. The group accused the Modi government of “divide and rule” by controlling Kuki leaders while denying statehood demands. It warned the conflict is now drawing in Nagas and said resignation is a “necessary act of political conscience” to stand with their people.

The killing of six Liangmai individuals is a tragic incident that deserves a thorough, impartial, and evidence-based investigation. Attempts to prematurely blame the Kuki-Zo community without verified evidence are irresponsible and harmful.

Several reports and public claims have alleged the involvement of NSCN-IM and ZUF (Kamson group). However, the truth must be established through official investigations and credible evidence, not through rumors, propaganda, or communal targeting.

No community should be condemned based on unverified allegations. Spreading misinformation and fake agendas only fuels tension and undermines justice.

We urge authorities to conduct a transparent investigation, identify the actual perpetrators, and ensure accountability. Justice must be guided by facts and evidence, not political narratives or ethnic blame.

No. 13/KI-SWSH/ADMN/PR(A)/26-06: The Kuki Inpi South West Sadar Hills unequivocally condemns the aggressive and forceful dispersal of peaceful protestors by security forces, Using tear gas, blank ammunition, and lathi charges against the public. The Government has initiated these heavy-handed measures while remaining completely indifferent to the genuine grievances and demands of the people. This public shutdown was organized specifically to protest the discriminatory and targeted combing operations being conducted solely against the innocent Kuki population.

As a direct consequence of this unjustifiable use of force by the security personnel, three individuals have sustained critical injuries.

We reiterate that this communal friction was entirely instigated from the outset by the NSCN-IM and its proxy ZUF-Kamson faction. Until the Government takes decisive legal action against these actual perpetrators and ensures they face the highest punitive measures, this public agitation will continue unabated.

The continued violence in the hill districts of Manipur and reports of cross-border militant activities demand immediate attention from the Government of India and security agencies.

Serious allegations have been raised regarding the involvement and movement of armed groups, including NSCN-IM, NSCN (Eastern Flank), ZUF, the Kamson group, and elements linked to the Shan National Army and Myanmar junta forces along the India–Myanmar border. These allegations must be thoroughly and impartially investigated by the competent authorities.

We strongly condemn all attacks on innocent civilians, the burning of villages, the killing of pastors, and every act of violence that has brought fear and suffering to local communities. The security and dignity of every citizen must be protected without discrimination.

We demand:
• A comprehensive investigation into all allegations of militant activities and cross-border infiltration.
• Accountability for attacks on civilians, pastors, and village volunteers.
• Equal protection and security for all communities.
• Stronger border security and enforcement against any armed group operating illegally within Indian territory.
• Transparent disclosure of findings to the public.

No innocent civilian should suffer because of violence, militancy, or selective enforcement. Justice, security, and the rule of law must prevail.

Operating under this fraudulent Kuki persona, Mr Panmei deliberately sought to weaponised communal division & manufacture hatred against the Kukis by actively & aggressively provoking the Tangkhuls, Zeliangrongs & Manipur Nagas, with the explicit goal of sabotaging Peace & deepening ethnic hostility in Manipur.

■The danger here cannot be overstated because Mr. Panmei not an obscure instigator on the internet, he is the current Joint Secretary of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (@INCNagaland) , a prominent leader of the Rongmei Naga Youth Organisation (RNYO) & former General Secretary of the BJP ST Morcha's Nagaland unit, @STM4Nagaland.
