You even followed convention in the same article when writing "Indigenous Taíno Community," even though "comunidad" is female in Spanish and the phrase would be "comunidad indígena taína."
Consistency in language is important for understanding.
@NatGeo, it's an odd choice you've made (and a jarring one for this Puerto Rican from San Juan), to call this the "Taína Route" in English instead of "Taíno Route" or the "Ruta Taína trail."

By calling the trail "Taína Route" it sounds more like it's the Route of the Taíno Woman, rather than the the Indigenous Route, which is what it is in Spanish.

"Tengas" is a subjunctive verb form that makes no sense in this sentence. The correct imperative is "ten" for the informal tú or "tenga" for the formal usted.
A prime example of "attacking the speaker rather than engaging their ideas" is precisely news commentator @DAVILACOOLON calling San Juan mayor @CarmenYulinCruz a "bitch" ("perra") on the air.
Tweeting this article as his defense is also a prime example of gaslighting.
