I stand with Mayor Lurie against the antisemitic hate that happened today in San Francisco. We must ALL call it out, condemn it, and do more to strip it out of our communities — from its root to its ugly stem.
This is vile but tragically not surprising. We’ve seen broad-based normalization of anti-Jewish rhetoric & stereotypes online, in political & community spaces, in schools & on college campuses.
It’s beyond dangerous. The normalization & acceptance of antisemitism must end.
Chanting "tax the Jews" is blatant antisemitism. I condemn it unequivocally. Antisemitism is rising in our communities. One father shared that his 13 year old daughter did not want to display the menorah in the window of their house. We must speak out against this bigotry.
As someone who studies antisemitism, this moment is deeply revealing. We are watching classic anti-Jewish tropes and conspiracy theories resurface — the age-old pattern of casting Jews as uniquely culpable and ultimately to blame. The speed with which some shifted from condemning ‘the rich’ to targeting Jews exposes how deeply embedded these false narratives remain — and how easily they are used to justify vile hatred. Antisemitism is racism and bigotry, and its normalization is alarming.
At an event this afternoon, a group of individuals that were chanting "tax the rich" began to shout "tax the Jews." This was an event I put on with Supervisor Mahmood, labor leaders, and dozens of workers to announce a plan that creates more jobs for those workers and housing for San Franciscans.
Suggesting that Jews are wealthy is a tired trope, and targeting our community at an event focused on creating economic opportunity for San Franciscans is decidedly antisemitic. I will never accept hate directed at the Jewish community or any community in our city. Those are not San Francisco values—we’re better than that.
🇮🇷 I hate to pause your Venezuela celebrations, but I have to report that right now the Iranian people are seizing and setting fire to several Revolutionary Guard bases. This is historic.
When people respond to the murder of two American Israelis with "free Palestine," they aren't willing an end to suffering, they're fantasicizing about a Jewish genocide.
The reason they have to hide this bloodlust behind righteous language is to avoid confronting the truth - that violence against a targeted and perpetually scapegoated minority does not arouse in them contempt, but ecstasy.
The reason they can't confront their ecstasy is because what would that say, then, about the entire identity they've constructed and sold to themselves as a "humanitarian?"
In other words, the reason the world cannot confront its Jew hatred is not just because it exposes something in them that they'd rather not see, but because it entirely collapses who they've been pretending to be.
NOW: Local residents are confronting the Pro-Palestine protesters in Prospect Heights neighborhood as they March through Brooklyn along Atlantic Avenue.
They’re not “protests.” They’re terror rallies.
Normal protestors don’t try to smash through police lines to stalk and terrorize an ethnic community.

Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib posts about Gaza every single day and hasn’t said a word about the largest anti-Hamas protests there since 2019.
Wonder why 🤔
The families of the hostages are suing pro-Hamas organizations operating here in the US. The lawsuit contains a bombshell revelation: “three minutes before Hamas began its attack on October 7th, Columbia SJP posted on Instagram “We are back.” Before the 10/7 posting, Columbia SJP’s account had been inactive for months, only to be suspiciously reactivated minutes before the 10/7 terror attacks. The timing seems too coincidental to be a coincidence.
If there are organizations here in the US that had advance knowledge of the 10/7 attacks, which led to the murder of American citizens, the American people have a right to know the full truth.
Three messages from the Gazans to the world, and why the people will win this time:
1. "Hamas are terrorists."
2. "We want peace."
3. "We want to live a normal life."
It is not the first time the people of #Gaza protested against Hamas rule. Similar protests have happened many times before, but it has always been under-reported in the media and quickly suppressed by the brutally powerful Hamas and its regional backers.
However, this time is different. Why?
* Hamas is lonely and devasted.
* The biased Qatar-sponsored media has already lost its credibility and ability to manipulate the truth.
* The people of Gaza have broken the barriers of fear after they have been left with nothing to lose.
Let's amplify their voices.

BREAKING: Anti-Hamas Palestinians in Gaza deliver a message to the people around the world supporting Hamas and not them:
“Come and live the hell we’re enduring — then you can speak.”
Hey @Columbia – can you explain why Grant Miner, who was expelled for taking over Hamilton Hall, is still on campus and leading a protest today? You've been claiming that "discipline has been enforced" and that outsiders will be removed from campus. Sure doesn't seem like it...
