@jschjei1@skraxxy@OregonHomer If teams share revenue, then the money that big market teams have will only be slightly higher than that of a small market teams. They can outbid maybe one or two players sure, but not every good players there are in the market
@jschjei1@skraxxy@OregonHomer Any market in the NFL can be great because they have a shared pool of income from their TV. MLB have a disparity because they don't.
Salary cap is a separated issue that doesn't contribute into this.
@TJStats@jonbecker_ The last time they failed to push it because they don't have fans on their side. Since then they've been slowly building narratives through media to make it seems like the only option available. MLB and its owners have a long history in the effort of suppressing players salary
@jaycook_@TonyBroome81@VBcoachInCali@BNightengale Why should middling players get raises without merit? The idea seems very socialist. As a non-American I find it very strange that this is the prevalent sentiment among the fans
@FB_24@EvanDrellich No, it's PR. In '94 they failed this shit because they don't have fans on their side. Now, through media, they are spewing all the rhetorics bullshit that fans want to hear without addressing their own problems
@DadBodJP@mrjeffu A society that immediately dispatch police after a report of possible child abuse? Yeah imagine that.
