@SpencerJCox Who knows, maybe we’ll find out there’s this whole world of leader types among the homo civicus who are ready to move federal governance out of alpha posturing into a whole new realm of getting shit done.
There has been a huge market failure by both parties refusing to respond to the exhausted majority who are deeply unhappy with both leading candidates and the way parties are behaving. First party to figure it out could dominate the next decade.
@belladepaulo It sounds to me like the glaring bias here is a misunderstanding of the tendencies of people who are happily coupled, or of people who don't like being single and would like a healthy relationship. #SIngleatheart sounds like "mature adult" to me.
PSA, folks. Elon Musk isn’t what is wrong with Twitter. This forum generates and breathes life into horrible thought processes and ideas that people in real life don’t even know about. Bye.
@Onlypizza1@cafreiman It’s the inevitable evolution of philanthropy during peak capitalism, with overpaid people reenacting the dynamics of the pre-enlightened age rather than acknowledging that their outrageous salaries are the problem, not the solution.
@JosephPolitano Willful ignorance of human foibles isn’t the same thing as wisdom. Consequences are how people learn from - say it with me now - mistakes.
@NoLieWithBTC Vet here 🙋♀️. There are a lot of benefits for veterans and we really appreciate new gestures of support and continued efforts to address systemic shortfalls. You can all relax.
@billpulec@JosephPolitano I guess it’s important to people with access to wealth untethered from value to have some systematic way to get clear about what they’re really doing. Plenty of people who have no idea EA exists are and have been achieving outcomes for a long time, sans the superiority complex.
@LPNational I do know for sure someone’s coming for your garbage, and there’s a whole system to accept everything you flush down the toilet. Maybe a little cholera would help you all regain some perspective.
@heywillconway@Fwd_Party I think interpreting that data to indicate people identify existentially with a political party is actually further evidence that viewing anything through the lens of political affiliation generates a narcissistic interpretation of reality (the narcissist being the party itself).
@TheOzarkansan@DisgruntledC0n @Prawns_R_Us @morganisawizard If you’re seriously that cynical about your society, it’s your fault. Your world would collapse without an entire background army of dedicated people working hard so that you can take water and electricity, garbage collection, safety, education, art, music, etc for granted.
@TheOzarkansan@DisgruntledC0n @Prawns_R_Us @morganisawizard All sorts of decisions about public resources and institutions are decided entirely by numbers of votes. Where are you even coming from with this argument? You’re just wrong.
