#CLARITY+@MesoSpim is amazing. We aim to directly do 3D semantic & instance segmentation on this data for cFOS, co-counting, etc.
My awesome lab members Cyril Achard & @vmaxmc2 built a @napari_imaging plugin to make a free, open source tool for this: https://t.co/t9PbC5eynN
BrainGlobe now has new atlases! Brains (mouse, rat & zebrafish) and our first spinal cord atlas (mouse)! These atlases are available through the BrainGlobe Atlas API and will work with all our tools: https://t.co/BGR7nrEGVV. More details at https://t.co/0n5wl6Cppe 1/7
This atlas is now available in @brain_globe for use with brainreg, cellfinder, brainrender etc.
Thanks to @clothier_sam and @ggFedericoRossi from @NeuralCompLab for packaging the atlas!
Where do decisions get made? Decisions about sensory information are thought to arise high in the cortical processing hierarchy. Our @NatureNeuro study challenges this, showing that decision signals consequential for behaviour are found at the earliest cortical processing stages.
It is generally accepted that fat tissues “talk” to the brain via secreted hormones. Our amazing student @yuwang, co-mentored by @liye_tsri, discovered that somatosensory neurons innervating adipose tissue act as a break to counteract sympathetic activity. https://t.co/vEBKGnohVu
We are excited to share our Perspective in @NeuroCellPress discussing why cerebellar reward signals may be important for learning. Here’s a personal history explaining what led to this Perspective, and why we think these signals are so interesting.

From the amazing @nikasamborska. mPFC neurons generalise task representations across related problems. Hc neurons also have task representations, but more tied to the specific problem. Important for understanding how abstract knowledge is mapped to new situations.
Delighted to share our new study, now online in Cell! We used an “all-optical” approach to manipulate place cells during virtual navigation! 😎⚡🧠 First paper with my name on it! 🥳 Many thanks to @nicktmrobinson and the @NeuralCompLab for this fantastic experience!
If you want to learn linear manifold methods, or just brush up on linear algebra, @BakermansJJW has made a matlab tutorial to accompany @SaraASolla's @worldwideneuro talk.
