Beginning July 20, Claude Fable 5 will be included in all Max and Team Premium plans, at 50% of limits.

Pro and Team Standard users will continue to have access to Fable via usage credits, and will receive a one-time $100 credit.

Demand for Fable has been challenging to predict, which is why we rolled it out to subscription plans in stages, extending access several times as we secured additional capacity.

Introducing Claude Fitness: a rewards layer for your body. The more calories you burn, the more tokens you earn.

Claude Fitness links to your existing wearables and turns verified movement - heart rate, motion data, and consistency - into Claude Tokens.

It quietly tracks in the background and rewards real effort, not just steps, with higher payouts for sustained training, meaningful streaks, and healthy habits.

Because strong incentives can be abused, Claude Fitness is built with strict anti-cheat safeguards. Suspicious activity patterns are flagged and earn little or nothing, and the system constantly refines what “true effort” looks like for each person. The aim is to reward genuine discipline, not creative ways of gaming the system.

For a small group of partners—researchers, trainers, and health organizations—we’re also exploring a more experimental tier that exposes richer data and finer-grained controls. Access will expand carefully over time, focused on people using it to build better tools for health, not exploitation.

Claude Fitness launches as a consumer app first, with partner access rolling out gradually.

Claude Code on desktop now has an in-app browser.

Claude can pull up docs, designs, or any other site. It can read, click through, and interact the same way it does with your local dev servers.

It's sandboxed and configurable: you choose whether sessions persist.

Claude Fable 5 will be available again globally tomorrow.

After a series of productive conversations with the US government, we're redeploying the model with a new set of classifiers to target and block more cybersecurity tasks. In the near term, some routine tasks like coding and debugging will fall back to Opus 4.8. We’ll continue to refine these classifiers over the coming weeks to reduce false positives and better distinguish genuine misuse from legitimate requests.

We’ve also begun drafting a consensus framework—with Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and other Glasswing partners—for assessing the severity of AI jailbreaks and how AI developers should respond to them. We invite other industry partners and model providers to join us in this effort.

Finally, we’re scaling up our collaboration with the US government on model testing and safeguards. This will include pre-release access to models and safeguards for evaluation, information sharing on jailbreaks and misuse, and dedicated resources for joint research.

Across Claude products, new sessions will run on your selected default model or Opus 4.8, and existing Fable 5 sessions will end with an error.

On the Claude Platform, requests to Fable 5 will also return an error. Please update your integrations to other Claude models.
