Last week at Queen's Park I tabled petitions from the people of Sudbury that demanded optometrists be given compensation for the full cost of OHIP-insured services. OHIP eye care has returned, but it is still necessary to give optometrists funding for the cost of delivery.

Both parties are back at the negotiation table and the job action is halted as of tomorrow. Let’s hope that the negotiations go better this time and we have a resolution ASAP. In the meantime we’re back in business for our OHIP patients
