@stonewall007 @RussInCheshire Your language is offensive to many (me included). If Starmer is going to need a year+ to get 40% then he's no upgrade on Corbyn who got 40% by 2017. And take into account the LP was split in 2017 & Johnson is clearly a far greater danger than May, Starmer should be streets ahead.

Frankly, if a poor leader can get 40% in the polls a better leader against the worst PM in living history really ought to be doing a lot better.

@stonewall007 @RussInCheshire Have a look at You Gov polls. Labour no more popular than 6 months ago & considerably less popular than 2017. This despite worst PM in living memory making UK worst hit by C19 of virtually world. There is no surge for Starmer as there was for Blair, Thatcher, Atlee or Churchill.

@Keir_Starmer We need clarity from Labour if it will support workers who refuse to return to work if they judge it unsafe; if it will support teachers if they judge re opening schools is unsafe; if it will support tenants unable to pay rent. We need an opposition to this Govt not a commentary.

@stellarossssa @Keir_Starmer Unison backed Starmer in the leadership election without consulting with their members. Now Starmer won't support the thousands of Unison members being hurried back to work in unsafe conditions with only their union to defend them. Perhaps Unison might want to comment?
