Ein Tesla-Mitarbeiter beschrieb einmal, was passiert, wenn Elon Musk mitten in einem Meeting aufsteht und geht.

Mitten im Satz, während jemand noch spricht, steht Elon auf und geht zur Tür hinaus.

Warum er das macht und es auch von seinen Teams erwartet formulierte er so:
„Verlasst ein Meeting oder legt bei einem Call auf, sobald klar ist, dass ihr keinen Mehrwert mehr bringt. Es ist nicht unhöflich zu gehen. Unhöflich ist es, die Zeit anderer Leute zu verschwenden.”

Der Mitarbeiter erzählte, dass beim ersten Mal, als er das erlebte, der ganze Raum erstarrte. Eine leitende Vizepräsidentin präsentierte gerade ein Quartalsupdate, und Elon stand einfach auf, nickte kurz und ging. Keine Erklärung. Kein „Entschuldigung”. Die Präsentation lief zwar weiter, aber niemand hörte mehr wirklich zu. Alle waren noch damit beschäftigt zu verarbeiten, was gerade passiert war.

Mit der Zeit, so der Mitarbeiter, wurde das zur Normalität. Die Leute verstanden die Regel. Wenn Elon geht, bedeutet das eines von zwei Dingen: Entweder braucht das Meeting ihn nicht, oder das Meeting sollte gar nicht existieren.
Beides sind nützliche Signale: Die Meetings wurden kürzer. Die Präsentationen wurden schärfer. Die Leute hörten auf, Meetings anzusetzen, um sich produktiv zu fühlen, und setzten sie nur noch an, wenn tatsächlich eine Entscheidung gefällt werden musste.

Er sagte, die Regel klinge in der Theorie brutal, habe aber in der Praxis die effizienteste Meeting-Kultur geschaffen, die er je erlebt habe. Niemand schweift ab, wenn der CEO jederzeit aufstehen und gehen könnte. Niemand streckt eine Präsentation mit Füllmaterial, wenn im Publikum jemand sitzt, der seine Zeit in 5-Minuten-Schritten bemisst.

Die meisten Unternehmen huldigen dem Anschein von Zusammenarbeit. Elon huldigt der Beseitigung verschwendeter Zeit. Und genau dieser Unterschied ist der Grund, warum SpaceX und Tesla schneller unterwegs ist als Unternehmen, die zehnmal so gross sind. Das Unbehagen, jemanden aus dem eigenen Meeting weggehen zu sehen, wiegt weniger schwer als die Kosten, jemanden in einem Meeting festzuhalten, in dem er nicht gebraucht wird.

Die meisten Führungskräfte sind nicht bereit, andere unangenehme Momente erleben zu lassen, um Zeit zu sparen. Elon betrachtet es als moralische Pflicht.

In April, a website that has been sued, blocked, deplatformed, and chased across thirty-seven domains over fifteen years quietly launched its own AI.

Sci-Hub is the largest unauthorized library of scientific papers in human history. Ninety-five million academic papers. Tens of millions of books. Built and maintained by a single Kazakhstani neuroscientist named Alexandra Elbakyan since 2011, funded by donations, hosted on whatever country's registrar will tolerate it that year, mirrored across torrents and IPFS and Telegram bots.

Elsevier sued. Sci-Hub stayed up. The American Chemical Society sued. Sci-Hub stayed up. India sued. Sci-Hub stayed up. Swedish registrar Njalla cut the .se domain in January. Sci-Hub stayed up at .al, .ru, .ee, .box, and a half-dozen .onion addresses the registrars cannot reach.

Now the library has built its own intelligence.

Sci-Bot launched in alpha in April. You ask it a research question. It answers, and it cites real papers from inside the corpus, with links that actually open the actual papers.

The bot does not hallucinate citations. It cannot, because it only draws from papers it actually holds. The same property that the venture-funded labs have spent four years and forty billion dollars trying to engineer back into their products is a free side effect of training the model on a library that contains the books.

Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and Meta have all been sued in the past eighteen months for training their models on the same shadow libraries that Sci-Hub assembled. Meanwhile the corpus those scripts were pointed at, the corpus those models were trained on, the corpus the entire generative AI industry is built on, sat right there the whole time, free, with a search box on top.

The pirates beat them to it.

Sci-Bot was built on a corpus that was already free, by a team that asked no permission, charging no one, with the explicit position that the right to read scientific research is older than the cartel that decided to charge for it.

The same arithmetic the medieval guilds used to keep the printing trade in approved hands. The same arithmetic Pope Paul IV used in 1559 to publish the Index Librorum Prohibitorum. The same arithmetic the Stationers' Company used in seventeenth-century London.

Knowledge has always had a fence around it. The fence has always been guarded by men who did not write the books.

The library answers. We never asked permission. We never had to.

🔻 THE HARVARD CONNECTION

Two days ago, Lawrence Summers — Obama’s top economic advisor and former Harvard president — resigned from Harvard without explanation.

His name appears on the Butterfly Foundation recipient list. The $340 million Epstein trust.

Summers met with Epstein at least 14 times after his 2008 conviction. At Harvard. At the mansion. At the island.

Obama appointed him as Director of the National Economic Council in 2009 — one year after Epstein’s conviction. Not despite the connection. Because of it.

⚡ THE CLINTON TESTIMONY

Bill Clinton testified under subpoena before the House Oversight Committee this week. First time in history a former president was deposed in a criminal investigation by Congress.

Hillary testified separately. Behind closed doors.

But here’s what matters: Clinton was asked about Obama. Specifically about a 2015 meeting at the Clinton Foundation where Obama, Clinton, Summers, and Epstein’s lawyer were all present.

The subject of that meeting? “Asset relocation.”

Assets. Not money. Not investments. Evidence.

My CISO called me at 3 AM last Tuesday.

Let me explain.

His keystrokes were arriving 110 milliseconds late.

One hundred and ten milliseconds.

That's 0.11 seconds.

The average American remote worker has 20-40ms of latency.

This guy? 110ms. Every. Single. Keystroke.

My security team ran the numbers.

That latency doesn't come from a bad router in Ohio.

That latency comes from Pyongyang.

Our "Senior DevOps Engineer" was a North Korean operative.

Running his work laptop through a laptop farm.

In America.

While he worked from a government building.

In North Korea.

He passed the interview. He passed the background check. He passed the vibe check.

He did not pass the speed of light.

Here's what people don't understand about physics:

Light travels 186,000 miles per second.

But it still has to go through China.

And China adds latency.

Since April, Amazon has caught 1,800 of these attempts.

Eighteen hundred.

I called an emergency meeting with my board.

I said, "We need to implement Keystroke Velocity Auditing across all remote employees."
