We are witnessing a very sad moment in American history.
The President of the United States is aligning himself with the dictator of Russia, Vladimir Putin, to undermine the independence of Ukraine and its democracy.
Here are my thoughts:
"Until education becomes the kind of profession that reveres evidence, we should not be surprised to find its experts dispensing unproven methods, endlessly flitting from one fad to another. The greatest victims of these fads are the very students who are most at risk." - Doug Carnine https://t.co/4YErju6Z8X
One photo. It tells an entire story.
It started with hate. But it didn’t end there.
Today we remember the six million men, women and children murdered in the Holocaust.
We promise to never stop sharing their stories.

"There is nothing progressive about scrubbing out British family farming and handing it over to the city."
@timfarron speaks on the Family Farm Tax and the damage it will cause to hard-working farming families.
Sad to read of the death of Tony Campolo. I interviewed him 12 years ago, when he came to @greenbelt. What he told me could just as well have been written today. Words the Church still needs to hear.
May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
Three questions I often use in conversations about faith (and I’m going to use them far more after spending a day with @EAUKnews)
— Have you had a religious experience?
— Have you read the Gospels since becoming an adult? (Wanna try?)
— Would you be up for coming to church?

It's been 10 years since the implosion of Mars Hill Church. Hard to believe. Like most things, Mars Hill had some amazingly beautiful and terrible fruit from its ministry. I will always treasure the good but want others to learn from the not-so-good.
In the spirit of the anniversary, here are 10 reflections from working in and through that difficult season:
1. Don't let your platform outpace your maturity.
1 Timothy 4:16 Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.
I believe one of the greatest kindnesses the Lord can give is to reduce our ministry to the level of our maturity. Mark and Mars Hill outpaced their maturity. Mark's success expanded a platform he wasn't ready for. In fact, I'm not sure many men would be ready for it. Mars Hill's notoriety grew but her maturity was tied to Mark and that ultimately sank the ship. The same captain who launched her was the one who led her to the rocks.
Pray the Lord only gives you a ministry size commensurate to your godliness and maturity. Then be content if He does.
